Virginia So-Not-A Foxx:
Everywhere I go in my district, people tell me they are frightened. They fear for the future of our country. . . I share that fear, and I believe they should be fearful. And I believe the greatest fear that we all should have to our freedom comes from this room, this very room.
And what may happen later this week, in terms of a tax increase bill masquerading as a health care bill. I believe we have more to fear from the potential of that bill passing than we do from any terrorist right now in any country.
Shelley Please-No Moore Capito on health care reform:
This is a jobs bill for Washington bureaucrats.
Michele Bathshit Bachmann (on why everyone should drop what they’re doing, drive to Washington, D.C., and visit their congresscritters in person:
We’re billing this as an emergency house call on Congress. We want to bring all of the town halls of August here to Washington, D.C. because in two months, they’ve forgotten the message that the American people sent loud and clear in August. [...]
If we get real, freedom-loving people from everywhere to Washington, D.C., and empower them to go and walk through all of these office buildings and knock on doors and ask to see their member, bring their video camera, get their member of Congress on videotape, ask them what they think, ‘Are they going to take away their freedom on health care?’ I think that we have the potential to scare these members with the sight of real people. [...]
This is so important because this health care vote represents the crown jewel of socialism — socialized medicine is the crown jewel of socialism.
Ginny Doody Brown-Waite (on Barack Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize):
With every great honor, however, comes great responsibility, not the least of which is the president’s constitutional responsibility to receive the consent of Congress before formally accepting this award.
Princess Sarah Palin:
Anything she’s ever said. You betcha!
