Obama speech to joint session of House and Senate

I would agree with Keith Olbermann's comment: "The speech had a touch of greatness. "

Rightardia would suggest it was Obama's greatest speech.

Obama want after the right wing disinformation machine and called the death panel claim an outright lie. He indicated none of the new plans would cover illegal immigrants who get medical help under Medicaid.

South Carolina Republican Rep. Joe Wilson shouted "You lie!" after Obama had talked about illegal immigrants.
Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst about immigrants caused Obama to pause briefly before he went on with his speech. Overhead in the visitors' gallery, first Lady Michelle Obama shook her head from side to side.

Obama ended the speech with references to Ted Kennedy and how he worked across the aisle with  John McCain, Orin Hatch and Chuck Grassley on health care issues.

It is clear that Obama has the resolve to sign a health care bill. It's a shame he didn't get the sergeant of arms to evict Rep. Joe Wilson from the chambers. That would have made my day!
