Hand held projectors have been around for a short period of time. This was possible once a LED light source was developed that could produce 500 lumens or more and a high fidelity RGB display. Nikon has taken this further by incorporating the projector into a camera that can produce a 40 inch image. Because LED light it cool, the bulb can last 20,000 hours or more. There is no need to upload digital images to a PC either.
