India's wants to redevelop Dharvi, Asia's biggest slum and Mumbai's most expensive piece of prime real estate. The residents have taken to the streets in protest.
The government has given assurances it will provide low cost housing for the slum-dwellers is part of their plan.
But local residents are skeptical and that developers are only interested in quick profits. Developers have already demolished the second home of two of the child stars in Slum Dog Millionaire.
