Chris Matthews got creative with his metaphors. He called Cheney, Limbaugh, and Gingrich 'a troll, a walrus, and the devil respectively. MATTHEWS: It's not too cartoonish to describe Rush as sort of a walrus underwater. That's what he talks - woo, woo, woo. He's like a drowning walrus the way he talks. And then you've got Newt Gingrich, well, he looks like Mephistopheles. And this this guy, well, Cheney is a troll. So you got a troll, a walrus and the Devil as your cartoon characters.
Rightardia agrees. It has pointed out that Rush Limbaugh could never be waterboarded because it would be impossible to waterboard a large marine animal like Rush who can close his nostrils.
Dick Cheney is the short balding overweight stereotype of a Republican. He is, indeed, a troll. I can imagine him skulking around Washington and hiding under small bridge, jumping out to scare people. He is the Rumpelstiltskin of the GOP.
Then, of course, we have the authoritarian Newt Gingrich, who is greatly responsible for creating the acrimony between the Republicans and Democrats in the House while he was speaker. While he was involved the Monica Lewinsky scandal, he was running around on his wife. Are you suprised he looks like Mephistopheles after cheating on two wives and also being invoved in congressional ethics probes?
