Rightardia has moved over to FaceBook

During the 2112 election, cycle, Rightardia noticed a lot of activity on its Facebook page. Most of our political posts are now found on FB.

Although we still do some political posting here, you are more likely to find orginal articles on the Veterans Administration or tech topics in the blog.

The Rightrdia FB page has around 600 friends and followers and we would have even more if we weren't so particular and who we friend.

The Rightardia FB page is not a debate page.  Rightrdia and Rightard Whitey got bored with debating right wing trolls and idiots on Usenet, so we don't allow any of that riffraff on our FB page.

As our FB banner states, "Never waste time with people who have no interest in you point of view. "

Conservative Trolls are there to proselytize you or to disrupt your blog. They are not interested in real debate.

If you have worked in Organizing for America (OFA), you probably know that the volunteers do not call Republicans.

Why? Because you are unlikely to make any headway with an an ideologue.

In addition, there are far more Democrats than Republicans and the Democratic base in increasing while the GOP bas is declining.

The bottom line is that the Democrats don't need Republicans to win elections. We just need to turn out the Democratic base. Sometimes that is easier said than done particularly when the Republican Party is doing everything it can to make it harder to vote.

Our appreciation to Rush Limbaugh for his slut and femi-Nazi comments. it helped Obama win by bringing out our female Democratic base.

OFA had more female participation than ever.

Draconian budget cuts proposed by Gov. Scott along with equally destructive proposals from the Florida Legislature has the potential to bring a wide range of constituencies – teachers, parents, police officers, firefighters, health care advocates, social workers, environmentalists – fighting under the progressive banner.

Budget cuts are something no Floridian can afford. We believe that Florida’s budget must be balanced responsibly through the elimination of unnecessary and unproductive sales tax exemptions and corporate income tax loopholes that cost Floridians more than $12 billion a year.

We ask that all Floridians who have a stake in this Governor's budget, those who stand to lose in favor of a corporation's gain, to stand united with us on March 8th. 

Supporters will be holding Awake the State rallies all over the state, including on the steps of the Capitol.

Alike our brothers and sisters in Wisconsin, our public sector employees are under attack. 

From the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Justice Administration are being defunded. 

Our environment has taken backseat to development. Our children in public schools will suffer with this governor's budget. We can't afford it. Stand United on March 8!

Florida Democratic party needs to be rebuilt

Rightardia supported OFA during the 2010 election cycle, but  we noticed few campaign worker showed up in northern Pinellas county. The election was a disaster  for Florida Democrats. The Republicans now have a billionaire governor and a super-majority in the house and the senate.

Most of the Democratic gains that were made in 2008, have disappeared. Karen Thurman has resigned as the chairperson of the Florida Democratic Party.  One of the fine field organizers that Rightardia worked with appears to be gone.

Rightardia was contacted prior to recent OFA Southern Regional conference. We identified several issues we were concerned about, but all Dave Walker,OFA National Regional Director for the Southern Region, wanted to do was 'cheer lead" during the recent conference call. 

The Florida Democrats should have challenged the 12 year incumbency of Republicans in the 2010 elections, but they let Rick Scott blame the bad Florida economy on Obama.

It seems the Democrats used a misguided election strategy. The Democratic losses in Florida were disastrous. Florida Republicans now have a super-majority and Rick Scott wants to privatize the Florida education system. 

 

Of course, all of the was glossed over during the conference call. Rightardia never heard a honest assessment of the situation during the call. Steve Walker appears to have his head buried in the sands of Washington.

We suspect DNC and OFA heads rolled after the 2010 election and know that Walker had worked in Louisiana so he may be new to the regional director position. 

Rightadia's view is that we need to concentrate our efforts on the state and do less at the national level with OFA.  We hope we will be able to support the re-election of Obama in 20102, but thee OFA should not count on it. 

We think Obama has been "Clintonized." 

Out first priority is to help the Democratic Party recover in Florida.  We see OFA as part of the problem rather than as part of the solution.

Rightardia sends an email to OFA, the Obama poltical organization

Rightardia was recently on an OFA Southern Regional conference call  with Steve Walker and more than 100 OFA volunteers. Walker is the National Regional Director - Southern Region, Organizing for America. We sent him this email.

Dear Steve,

I was on the recent conference call and write blog called Rightarida. I can tell you that Democratic bloggers are very upset with President Obama and that it is unlikely that he wiil garner the support of progressives in the next election if he continues to be timid and weak kneed.

The Democrats need to change the filibuster rules in the Senate if you expect to get anything done in the next two years.

The Democratic losses in Florida were disastrous. Florida Republicans now have a super-majority and Rick Scott wants to privatize the Florida education system.

We need a 'kick ass" Democrat like Alan Grayson to be the next Florida DNC chairperson.

The Florida Democrats should have challenged the 12 year incumbency of Republicans in the 2010 elections, but they let Rick Scott blame the Florida economy on Obama. How did this happen?

The Democrats could have clanged the Senate rules on the filibuster to efficiently use the mandate voters gave Obama is 2008. Instead we got a half baked reform with no public or single payer options. It would have been easier to extend Medicare to other age groups and reform it.

Obama squandered a year of his presidency on health care.

The Estate Tax should never have been on the table when Obama negotiated with Republicans.

Reagan and the two Bushes have already turned the US into a plutocracy with the top quinitle of American earners now taking in 50 per cent of the annual national income. The distribution of wealth far worse.

With a US' GINI index of .46, the US is facing social instability that my explain the misguided rise of the Tea Party.

This is not the "hope and change" that volunteers like myself had in mind when we went onto the streets in 2008 for Obama.

Democratic Underground: The Fight to Rebuild the Democratic Party and Reshape American Politics

During the 2004 primary season, Howard Dean put together a grassroots movement that forever changed American politics. This strategy was used by the Democrats to make huge gains in both the 2006 and 2008 elections.

But just days after Barack Obama won the presidential election, this grassroots movement was disbanded and disowned by the Democratic Party, and the coalition of activists that had helped put the party in power were now being kicked out.

Mike Papantonio talks with Ari Berman, author of the new book “Herding Donkeys,” who says that the Democrats will not be able to win again if they don’t embrace the movement that Dean created.

Rightrdia agrees. Organizing for America (OFA) went to sleep after the 2008 elections. As the Tea Bagger movement got stronger and stronger, OFA slumbered. Some of the Rightardia staffers supported the OFA 2010 midterm election and wondered if OFA would stay active after the midterms. We haven't seen any indications that OFA is still operating.

We had huge hopes for Rahm Emmanuel but he flaked out before the midterms and ran back to Chicago to run for mayor. He probably saw the handwriting on the wall. Obama should pull Howard Dean back into the DNC to get the party started again.

How the Democrats will steal the 2010 elections

Rightardia obtained a copy of a TOP SECRET plan to steal the 2010 mid-term elections. We are publishing it because we cannot, in good conscience, support such a devious initiative. 

The Barrack Obama, political organization. Organizing of America (OFA) is working closely with ACORN and the New World Order (NWO) to assure the Democrats maintain control the House and the Senate.

The OFA has already received $ billions from the New World order that is distributing so it can hire thousands of community organizers. These community organizers will be given a copy of Obama's Little Blue Book which explains how he organized thousands of voters in Chicago.

OFA activists will train ACORN community organizers how to influence and add people to the Voter Rolls throughout the West, Mid-West and the Northeast to swing the election. Obama has authorized the Air Force use C-130 Spray Birds to spray Chemtrails over the South to suppress voting there.

If the plans go as expected, the federal government will not have to declare martial law. Using data from Special Census forms that were distributed in right wing communities, gangs of Black Panthers will patrol areas known to have a Patriot and militia subculture.

Special ghetto cruisers will be outfitted to snipe any Patriots that come out of their homes with guns. If a white neighborhood gets out of control during the election, martial law will be declared and white voters will be herded into FEMA concentration camps. All guns will be confiscated in a door to door check.

If needed, foreign troops from Mexico and Canada will assist with the apprehension of Patriots and their guns.

The water supply will have fluoride added and Aspartame dosage will be increased in the food supply to subdue the patriots. This will create a biosphere that will eliminate unhappy conservatives who are unable to comprehend progressive thought.

HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) will also be used to irradiate patriots and conservatives in certain US cities. HAARP actually stands for Harm Against Activist Republican People . HAARP can employ secret directed-energy weapons, instruments for weather and mind control, and even s potent new methods to cause earthquakes in conservative hotbeds.

The president has also authorized the Federal Reserve to create as much US money and AMEROs as needed to swing the election to Democrats and overtime has been authorized for government union workers.

After election is over, the Obama administration will work with NAFTA elements in Canada and Mexico reduce the influence of conservatives, neo-confederates, militia members, White Supremacists, Tea Partiers and so forth in the South and West.

The history books will also be rewritten after the election to hide the true cause of 911. Birthers will also be arrested and sent to GITMO. A warrant has already been issued to arrest Orly Taitz.

Gallup: Democrats pull ahead on the Generic ballot

The Democrats' six-point advantage in Gallup Daily interviewing from July 12-18 represents the first statistically significant lead for that party's candidates since Gallup began weekly tracking of this measure in March.


Whether the Democrats' edge is sustainable remains to be seen. Republicans held a four-point or better lead over Democrats in three Gallup weekly averages thus far this year, but in each case, the gap narrowed or collapsed to a tie the following week.

Rightardia is optimist. Organizing for America (OFA), the Obama political organization, is firing up.  The party is getting started.
