Jeb can't fix shit!

Mitt Romney said he would not run for president if Jeb bush did. He later told Jeb he thought his candidacy was a long shot.

Jeb was not a distinguished Florida governor. Like his brother, George, he entered politics at the gubernatorial level. Jeb claimed his greatest accomplishment was education, Florida public education has been in shambles since the Jeb Bush  was governor.

Jeb's big problem with his bother, George. George was a Big "F' failure as president. George an his neo-conservative pals may have brought down the World Trade Center in a false flag operation hoping to benefit Israel. Bush's invasion of Iraq was a monumental error and his ownership society nearly tanked both the US and international economies.

No, even the Republicans remembered George W. Bush, the comedy about him, and had no interest in putting another Bush in the White House. Jeb lacked the charisma of his brother and never did well in the GOP primaries, finishing poorly even in Florida.

Jeb even had problems in Florida raising campaign finances because many pundits believed Marco Rubio was a better candidate. Yet, Jeb amassed the biggest war chest of all the Republicans,  estimated between $115 and $150 million.

His brother used the same approach to win the GOP nomination in 2000 by outspending his opponents in the primaries and the caucuses.

Jeb went thought the campaign cash, winning 0 delegates. At the end of his candidacy he took out a loan to keep the campaign going.

Big mistake. The pundits were right. Rubio was a better candidate.

Jeb now has a $260,000 debt with $31,000 left of campaign funds.

Should you fell sorry for him?

Not at all.

Jeb and Marco's suspended campaigns no surprise.

Jeb had been out of politics for many years and his two terms as the Florida governor were lackluster. Mitt Romney warned him about running for president. Americans haven't forgotten his brother, George W., and the damage he did to the US and world economies

Donald Trump said “Frankly, he’s (Jeb) a stiff. He’s not a guy who can be president. He doesn’t have what it takes to be president.”

Trump has a point. Jeb has no fire in his belly. Jeb never stood out in the numerous GOP debates. We don't need a Casper Milktoast as our next president.

It never amazes me how Republicans enter the political arena at the senatorial and gubernatorial level with no prior political experience. The was true of the two Bush brothers and Mitt Romney. Trump is running for president with no political experience and so were Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina.

Marco's problems are numerous starting with financial irregularities when he was a Florida legislator, Marco was also linked to two women during the campaign which certainly hurt him with Evangelicals. He also indicated he disliked being a Senator.

“I don’t know that ‘hate’ is the right word. I’m frustrated.” Marco told the Washington Post.

Marco was famous for his robotic recital of well rehearsed sound bites. For example. he said "the children of the Reagan Revolution are ready to assume the mantle of leadership" in a speech after the South Carolina primary.

The millennials are the children of the “Reagan Revolution” and most are progressives and Bernie Sanders supporters according to a Frank Luntz focus group.

Marco missed many Senate votes. He accomplished little as a US Senator. This is also true for Ted Cruz, who engaged in one pointless political stunt after another that alienated his Senate colleagues.

Two men who are US senators with two years of national experience are running for president. Don't think either Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz have paid their political dues.

Our next president should not peddle into the White House on training wheels.

Marco got few Florida newspaper endorsements because he developed a reputation as being a lazy politician.

Agree with the Tampa Bay Times: Marco was not ready to be president. He wasn't ready to be a US Senator either.

Jeb Bush's fingerprints are all over the outing of Rubio's mistress

 Rubio and Bush have been feuding

Bush campaign officials are trying to compare with Rubio as a “GOP Obama.” The Bush campaigners have been suggesting Rubio lacks political experience, but Marco actually has broader experience than Jeb Bush who has only held one political office, Florida governor. Bush has also been out state and national politics for nearly a decade.

Rubio, who is rising in the polls, is the biggest obstacle to Jeb Bush who is trying to take to the GOP nomination. Rubio has also poached some big GOP donors from Jeb Bush like Paul Singer,

Jeb Bush thinks he can win the Latin vote, but Rubio,who is Cuban descent and speaks Spanish at home, could do so, as well.  

Rubio is not-so-subtly suggesting the Bush name is a negative. 

Wow, what a revelation.

Bush is trying to portray himself as an experienced manager who has operated the nation’s third most populous state. Rubio, on the other hand, is presenting himself as an alternative to a dynastic political family.

Rubio has rising in the polls according to Fox News and The Quinnipiac University National Poll and is now is second place with Carson's numbers declining.  Jeb Bush is in fourth place.

Enter the Rubio mistress

 

There have been rumors few years that a Rubio has had at least one mistress and possibly two. Rumors have also circulated that Marco Rubio has at least one illegitimate child. While Rubio was in the Florida statehouse there was a scandal about his finances and the inappropriate use of a Republican credit card. There was an investigation or sorts, but some of Rubio's expenses were kept secret. It is possible these may have been child support payments. 

Jeb Bush is well-aware of the old scandal and would know what closets the skeletons are hiding in.  The Florida Republican party probably gave him access to Marco Rubio's Florida statehouse expense reports, too. 

Jeb Bush has the most to gain by eliminating Marco Rubio from the primary race. Assuming he Establishment Republicans can take Trump out of the race, it will leave only Ted Cruz and Jeb Bush standing. 

Rightrdia sees Cruz as unelectable because of his numerous christo-fascist rants.  A bigger problem for the establishment Republicans is Trump. Jeb Bush won't be able to buy the GOP nomination by outspending Donald Trump.

The American dream and Family Values

If you had been on the Rightardia Facebook page on Mother's Day, you would probably have gotten a good idea of the real American dream. Mothers' were showing off their handsome sons and beautiful doughters, There were pictures of grandmothers , both extant and deceased.

These beautiful families are the American dream. This country needs a just society that promotes the needs of families and provides them with a secure future.

One of the first person to talk about an American dream was Martin Luther King, Jr. not Marco Rubio. King said:

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. I have a dream today!"

America likes to think of itself as a melting pot, but sociologists will tell you that the reality is ethnic neighborhoods of Eastern Europeans, Italians, Irish, blacks and Hispanics. Some neighborhoods are integrated based upon the economics of housing. Some cities do a better job of integrating their communities than others. 

We have a long way to go to achieve King's dream. King certainly didn't talk about producing children to sacrificed upon the altars of of militarism or corporatism. 

He didn't talk about a future in which schools produced corporate drones to work in corporations operated like command and control military operations and owned by oligarchs. 

King envisioned a an integrated society, one of which you may have caught a glimpse at in the Rightardia Facebook Page on Mother's Day. . The families are diverse: white, black, Hispanic, mixed race, native American and LGBT. A hodge podge of religions were also represented. 

All of the parents want their children to be successful and raise families. They want secured futures for their children with well paying jobs that lead toward a positive retirement one day. The parents want  to be able to send their children to college and technical schools. They want the their children to have the same dream and opportunities. 

Marco Rubio has never really defined what he means by the American Dream, but he did say this to the  Rockingham County Republican Committee about Hillary Clinton. 

"They're (Democrats) threatening to nominate someone now who wants to take us to the past — to an era that's never coming back. The road we're on right now is a road that will rob us of the American dream."

Rubio talks about opportunity, but the reality is the American social system has very limited social
mobility. 

The Economist noted that "evidence from social scientists suggests that American society is much 'stickier' than most Americans assume. ... would-be Horatio Algers are finding it no easier to climb from rags to riches, while the children of the privileged have a greater chance of staying at the top of the social heap. The United States risks calcifying into a European-style class-based society."

Marco Rubio came form a different generation when his family emigrated form Cuba, There were many Federal and charitable programs that helped Cuban-Americans make the transition. These programs are now gone.  

They made it to the middle class, my dad working as a bartender and my mother as a cashier and a maid. I didn't inherit any money from them. But I inherited something far better - the real opportunity to accomplish my dreams.

Rubio is the one who seems to be the one remembering a bygone era. Rubio is 43 and his family benefited from government programs that helped Cubans make the transition to American life that were not available to other Hispanics or even other Americans. 

When the Cuban children from Operation Peter Pan--which was as an aftermath to the Castro Revolution--arrived in Miami they were met by Catholic Charities.  The children were then sent to live with relatives or to foster homes, orphanages or boarding schools until their parents could leave Cuba. 

The United States Congress passed the Cuban Adjustment Act in 1966 to help the immigrants who were classified as political refugees. The Cuban Refugee Program provided more than $1.3 billion of direct financial assistance. Emigrees also were eligible for public assistance, Medicare, free English courses, scholarships, and low-interest college loans.

That is the world Marco Rubio grew up in. Rightrdia thinks he has forgotten his Cuban-American roots and the largesse of the US government.

Marco Rubio gets jiggly on climate change

In an interview with the TamapTribune,  Rubio called Crist "a believer in man-made global warming."

"I don't think there's the scientific evidence to justify it," Rubio said.

There is an overwhelming consensus in the scientific community that climate change is man made.

Tampa Bay Times: Rubio still bogged down in $100,000 of student loan debt

"Sen. Marco Rubio wasn't kidding when he said recently he still has student loans, a sort of "I feel your pain" moment amid the partisan fight over extending low-interest rates.

Rubio's financial disclosure out today shows he has more than $100,000 in debt with Sallie Mae. He showed that much last year, too. Rubio graduated from the University of Florida (though he attended two previous colleges) and University of Miami School of Law."

Perhaps Sheldon Adelson will give Marco a $100,000 gift!

But wait, there's more. The Donald may have the same problem Marco Rubio has. Marco Rubio parents were naturalized after he was born so Marco can not fulfil presidential duties when required.

Trump, on the other hand, may not even be a US citizen. He may have been born in South Africa.

Marco's little foreign policy speech

Marco Rubio spoke about foreign policy at the Brooking Institution. Marco thought Republicans needed to retreat from isolationist positions and have a more proactive role in international affairs.

Marco was disappointed the US didn't have a bigger leadership role in Libya. Of course, Libya was a NATO operation and the US had a supporting role. It cost the US about $ one billion and the job got done.

Perhaps with Marco's approach, there would have been more glory for the US. Rightardia prefers the cost-effective coalition approach of Obama.

Marco chastised US foreign policy on Syria. Syria is a Russian client state and the Russians had a warship in one of the Syrian ports. The Russian's also had their special forces (Spetnaz) on alert to deploy to Syria. Marco was blowing a lot of hot air about Syria. The US is not going to get into a direct confrontation with the Russians if it can be avoided. Certainly, not over Syria.

At this time, the US is involved in delicate negotiations with Iran. Senator Rubio would also advocate  military action against Iran. Is Marco pandering for votes?

Probably not because the American Jewish community is small. Rubio is probably pandering for more campaign contributions for this affluent group.

The real problem with US foreign policy is that the state department is too small. Robert Gates, the former Secretary of Defense, pointed out that that it cost more for one carrier task force than the entire State Department. The lack of foreign language linguists is also a problem that could be easily corrected with a Federal program.

Foreign policy under GOP presidents has been hawkish and every modern GOP president has started wars. Bush I brought us the first Iraq War and Bush II brought us the second Iraq War and Afghanistan. Ronald Reagan ran around and destabilized Central and South America and the Caribbean.

This hawkish activity caused the defense budgets and deficit to climb. It is clear in the present US economy, the US can no longer afford adventurist wars under the guise of providing liberty to the people of a country we attack.

Marco Rubio said:

It is a mainstream, bipartisan belief that America benefits from the spread of liberal societies, markets and ideals. 

Rubio's speech was  departure form the neo-conservatives rants of the past. Men such as John Bolton come to mind with all of his belligerent rhetoric.

Rubio also specifically defended US foreign aid as a “cost-effective” method to “strengthen our influence, the effectiveness of our leadership.”

Marco's speech has a more moderate tone than other Republicans such as Net Gingrich, a pro-Israeli hawk, and Ron Paul, a constitutional isolationist. 

This is an improvement from what we have heard form the GOP on foreign policy so far. However, the Obama foreign policy is working well and it is unlikely a GOP executive branch could improve on it.

The truth hurts when it's about Marco

Marco will tell you a nice cock 'n bull story on how his parents escaped from Castro's Cuba.

That isn't' true. His parent emigrated to the US before the Cuban revolution.

His parents were not naturalized until four years after Marco was born. This means Marco can never be president.

Can Marco Rubio be the vice president?

Marco Rubio is not a "natural born citizen" and ineligible to be POTUS. Rubio was born in Cuba to Cuban parents.  Cuba was a US protectorate prior to the Castro revolution. There is an interesting Usenet discussion in alt.politics about his possible candidacy for vice president.

Bottom line: A natural-born citizen is the child who was both under US jurisdiction and whose parents are BOTH citizens (I make no distinction of naturalized or natural-born parents) . US Senator Mario Rubio (R-
Florida), while a citizen of the US, does not qualify as natural born citizen.

Rubio  would therefore be unable to fulfill the primary duty of a vice president which is to be become the president when required.

The issue is that if the president were to be impeached or die, a "naturalized vice president" would not be able to take over the responsibilities of the presidency.

A Rubio vice presidency would be pointless and unconstitutional. From a practical perspective, the Speaker of the House is in the presidential line of succession after the the VP.

The Democrats believe their chances are good to retake the house in 2012.

The implication would be if the president were to die or be impeached, the Speaker of the House would be the successor.

Update: Lisa King-- Actually he was born in Miami to Cuban citizens who were naturalized 4 years after he was born. His older brother Mario was born in Cuba.

Rightardia: Since Rubio's parent were not naturalized until after he was born, he would be ineligible to succeed the president.

Marco Rubio is unlikely to be the GOP candidate because he ran for the FL senate on his family's anti-Castro credentials.

When the media checked the immigration records, it discovered Marco's parents had left Cuba before the Cuban revolution.

Is Marco a fraud? Rightardia thinks his is.

Gov. Rick scoot continues to be the most unpopular governor in the union and many of the bills he has signed into law have been overturned by the courts.

Then there is Uncle Jebbie. He's hoping America has forgotten about his stupid brother.

Intrade: Marco Rubio for vice president?

Marco Rubio is a poster boy for the GOP who will need help with Hispanics in the next election. Although Marco embellished his connections to commie Castro Cuba, he is considered the new great communicator of his party.

It looks like the GOP has litle chance to win the presidency in 2012. Marco may want to set this one out and let some other GOP vice presidential candidate like Rick Santorum go down in flames.
