Fact-Checking Papa John's CEO, John Schnatter

Will Obamacare actually drive prices up 11-14 cents per pizza as Papa John's CEO claims? CNN's Tom Foreman investigates.

John Schnatter refused to provide any information to CNN to back up his claims that Obama care would hurt his business. Actually, all Schnatter would have to provide would be insurance to corporate wienies who mange his franchisees. 

It's the small business franchise operators who would have to provide health care to workers who work more than 30 hours a week. 

Rightardia would imagine most franchisees would have tow-three full time workers per shift: a manager, a counterman and a cook. Most delivery people work for minimum wage and tips and are part-time. 

Rightardia would imagine Schnatter's pants started smoking when he told this whooper. .

Affordable Care Act: Who's your daddy?

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) appeared on CBS' "Face The Nation," and talked about the origin of "Obamacare." 

Durbin said: 

Mitt Romney is the Obamacare daddy.

He gave birth to this baby up in Massachusetts and now he doesn't recognize it. He can't pick out any strains in the hereditary chain there that look like anything that he did in Massachusetts.

Al Jazeera English: Mitt Romney's health-care dilemma - Opinion

In a 2009 opinion-editorial in USA Today, former Governor Romney suggested his actions in Massachusetts were perfectly suited to US national policy. Romneycare would control costs, keep health care in the private sector and circumvent pressure to create "a European-style single-payer system":

Mittens stated:

Massachusetts also proved that you don't need government insurance. Our citizens purchase private, free-market medical insurance. There is no "public option". With more than 1,300 health insurance companies, a federal government insurance company isn't necessary. ... To find common ground with sceptical Republicans and conservative Democrats, the president will have to jettison left-wing ideology for practicality and dump the public option.

. . . (B)y pushing the issue all the way to the US Supreme Court, Republicans undermined their own objectives and, perhaps, ultimately derailed Romney's run for president.

NY Daily News: Chief Justice John Roberts to spend the summer in an "impregnable fortress"

"A day after drawing the ire of Republicans with his tie breaking vote to uphold Obamacare, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts quipped he would be spending the summer in an “impregnable fortress.”

Roberts’ humor underscores how he has been scorned by conservatives, who were counting on him to help strike down President Obama’s historic health care reforms."

Rightardia is certain Chief Justice Roberts made the right decision that was the best interests of US citizens.. Whether you call the individual mandate penalty a fine or a tax is not important. 

Based on the experience MA has with RomenyCare, the penalty will affect approximately 1 per cent of Americans who can afford insurance but are unwilling to purchase it. These are the Medicaid free riders or free loaders who go to the emergency rooms when they get sick. 

Once the Individual Mandate became law, insurance enrollment went form 90 per cent in MA to 98 per cent. All of the children in MA now have health insurance. 

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was based on the MA healthcare experiment. The Individual Mandate was a conservative idea, 

ObamaCare is a misnomer. It should be called ObomneyCare.
