Obama's chances improve on Intrade

While Obama's numbers have improved, Mittens have dropped. Mittens' chances are now 42.3 per cent.

Gallup gave Obama a 2 point edge today. However, the electoral college is the key to victory.

Rightardia thinks the outsourcer -in-chief attack may have been a fatal blow to Mittens.

Of course, Romney has been running on his private sector record and his alleged ability to create jobs. the questions is: what country will these job be created in?

Rightardia has pointed out in numerous articles that the job creation record of Republicans is inferior to Democrats.

Truthful Politics has noted that the average amount of private sector jobs created during Democratic Presidential terms is 1,463,220 and the average amount during Republican Presidential terms is 642,000.

A simple explanation of why you should vote to reelect Obama

When a Republican running for president says he can create more jobs than a Democratic incumbent, that person is either exaggerating or lying.

A corporatist like Mitt Romney could care less about employment. Worker productivity is always the primary concern of CEO's.

Corporations hire new workers are only when absolutely necessary and overtime for existing employees starts becoming prohibitive.

In the past, Mittens claimed he created 10,000 new jobs as the CEO of Bain. His latest  number is 100,000. He is even claiming he created more jobs as governor than Obama as president.

Of course, the comparison is apples and oranges. Romney wasn't governor during the Great Recession.

However, Romney's job creation while MA governor wasn't  exemplary. He was ranked 47th in job creation in the nation during his term.

Eric Fehrnstrom, the senior campaign adviser to the Mitt Romney presidential campaign, said:

With respect to Mitt Romney’s four year term as governor of Massachusetts, he created between 30k and 40k jobs,” Fehrnstrom told  Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC on Monday. “That is more than President Obama has created for the entire nation.

Of course, Romney as a "vulture capitalist" also shuttered factories and destroyed thousands of jobs and some communities in the process.

Salon claims Obama created 35,000 private sector jobs to date. The economic stimulus also saved the jobs of many police, fire fighters and teachers.

RT: US corporations are creating more jobs overseas than is US

In 2010 US corporations created 1.4 million abroad while less than 1 million were created in the US.

There needs to be at least 150,000 new jobs a month to handle population growth in the US. Yet recent statistics indicate the unemployment rate is falling.

Karl Denninger, the editor and founder of The Market Ticker said:

What we have is a falling participation rate, that is the number of people working compared to the number of adult citizens in the population as a whole,” he explained. “What I remain concerned about is that the reason the unemployment rate is coming down is because people are giving up and leaving the work force. Some of that is dues to being discouraged, some of that is due to the fact the baby boomers are starting to retire.

WIN: Wisconsin has worst jobs creation record in country

12/18/2011

One of the most dangerous things a gubernatorial candidate can do is project how many jobs they’ll create and how long it’ll take to create those jobs.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was one of two Republicans that were elected to office in 2010 that made such predictions.

Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said during a conference call on Friday that part of the reason was the misuse of two special sessions on job creation. Instead of focusing on jobs the Republican majority in the legislature focused on passing a conservative social agenda. Tate said:

Scott Walker’s Republican Party killed dozens of bipartisan job creation bills and instead rammed through a radical social agenda that gives millions in tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires, kicks thousands of seniors, working families, and children off of their health coverage.

On the campaign trail he said he’d create 250,000 jobs by 2014. So far, the numbers have said he’s doing everything but create jobs. November saw the fifth straight month of Wisconsin losing jobs. And a new report from the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia shows Wisconsin coming in dead last in the nation when it comes to job creation.

Rick Scott made the same promises in Florida and has launched a conservative agenda to make the state "more business friendly." Scott has also reneged on his promise to create 700,000 jobs above and beyond normal Florida job growth.

That is the same job creation message of Mitt Romney. Obama just doesn't understand the economy and we need a businessman as president to create jobs.

The problem is that GOP presidents have never been good at creating jobs. For example, GW Bush rarely talked about unemployment and preferred to discuss "worker productivity."
