Joy Behar and Ann Coulter Spar Over Sarah Palin

Conservative Ann Coulter was a guest on Joy Behar's new CNN Headline News show and the two sparred over a subject about which they both feel passionate: Sarah Palin. The subject of Palin came up during a discussion about the hysteria over so-called death panels, which Coulter acknowledges began from "one little Twitter from Sarah Palin" concluding that this makes Palin "a powerful woman."

Behar agreed with Coulter on this, but not for the same reasons. Behar suggested Palin does not speak coherently. Coulter thinks Palin draws large crowds in part because of her coherence.

Rightardia thinks the MILF factor has a great deal to do with Palin's appeal.

Fresh from his Emmy win, Jon Stewart took the stage Tuesday night to talk about the Values Voters Summit, a gathering sponsored by churches and family values groups.  The Christian Science Monitor referred to this event as "a more genteel anti-Obama tea party."

Stewart explored the irony of Bill O'Reilly accepting a media courage award at an event that bars the media.  He quickly moved on to a speech given by Sen. Tom Coburn's (R-Okla.) chief of staff. Michael Schwartz, a longtime conservative activist, spoke before the group about homosexuality and pornography. 

Rightardia has already written an article about Michael Schwartz's peculiar take of homosexuality. Jon Sewart also makes some interesting comments about Tom DeLay's debut on 'Dancing with the Stars.'

Can any Republican do what Al Franken can?

Only a true patriot can draw the US from memory.

Senator Al Franken drew an accurate map of all fifty U.S. states at the Minnesota State Fair recently.

The senator from Minnesota performed during a recording for Minnesota Public Radio. The video is set to music, so you can't to hear any "oohs" or "ahhs" from the audience.

This isn't the first time Sen. Franken drew the map for an audience. Franken showed the party trick and auctioned it off during a 2007 Democratic fundraiser in Minnesota.

Middle Class Warrior remembers drawing maps of the US and it regions when he was in elementary and junior high school. That was an era when students still took civics and history classes.

Watch Jay Leno's Jay Walking to see how far knowledge of civics and US history has dropped since then. Many college students can't identify pictures of Abraham Lincoln or Thomas Jefferson.

Glenn Beck Finds "Communist" Art At NBC Headquarters At Rockefeller Center

Rightardia comment: The video shows Glen Beck's abysmal lack of knowledge of US history is displayed again. During to World War 2, the US was an ally with the USSR. Many of the really good artists were communist or socialist like Diego Rivera who painted a socialist mural inside a Rockefeller building. Rockefeller had the mural painted over. The movie Frida provides some insights of what the 1930s were like.

The metaphor about beating swords into plowshares is from the Bible. Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears: let the weak say "I am strong." — Joel 3:10. There is nothing conspiratorial about this statue.

Usually when the right wing starts ranting about art, the statues will be vandalized or and the owners will remove the pieces to protect them. The next phase will be to attack subversive literature. Then the book burnings will start. This has happened in other countries.



If you thought Glenn Beck's conspiracy theories couldn't get any more bizarre, you obviously don't watch that much Glenn Beck.

This time Beck is taking shots at the titan of American capitalism, John Rockefeller, accusing him of having been a secret communist. Beck knows this to be true because he has discovered all sorts of "communist" and "fascist" art on NBC headquarters at Rockefeller Center, as well as on land behind the United Nations that was donated by Rockefeller.

Beck beleives that Rockefeller was an early American progressive, which means he was a communist, a fascist or both!

He knows this because Rockefeller left clues to his legacy with communist art pieces which are in plain sight. Beck's icing on the communist cake is that the Rockefeller Foundation honored Beck's latest target, Obama adviser Van Jones. Got it?

Ed Schultz challenges Rush Limbaugh To Debate "Anything"

Ed Schultz, host of "The Ed Show" on MSNBC, took a shot at conservative fireband Rush Limbaugh. Schultz often refers to Limbaugh as "the drugster" (in reference to his previous Oxycontin addiction) and pokes fun at the radio host's weight . Schultz also called Limbaugh a coward.

However, tonight Schultz threw down the gauntlet after Limbaugh made fun of him on his radio show for comments Schultz made regarding Sonia Sotomayor. Limbaugh also repeatedly referred to Schultz as a "horse."

Latino Group,Presente Action, going after conservatives who haven't denounced Limbaugh

A progressive Latino organization is set to begin airing ads on Spanish-language radio on the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor. Presente Action's asks member of GOP Congress to denounce statements Rush Limbaugh has made calling the Supreme Court nominee a "bigot and a racist."

Reps. Adam Putnam and John Mica, both Florida Republicans, are the first two targets. Neither has denounced Limbaugh, despite requests to do so. Putnam is retiring in 2010 to run for statewide office.

Putnam started his political career when Jeb Bush was governor and hails from an agriculatural area of Florida. He is extermely conservative.

That is: "Sonia Sotomayor is set to be the first Latina, and the first Puerto Rican, to serve on the US Supreme Court. It is a proud moment for our community. Yet Republican leaders insist on attacking her:"
