Morning Joe: David Axelrod Agrees To Shave Mustache If His Epilepsy Drive Raises $1 Million

David Axelrod made a mustache bet, on Morning Joe with Joe Scarborough.  Finally, a bipartisan deal!  Subscribe to the Rightardia feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/UFPYA Creative Commons License Rightardia by Rightard Whitey of Rightardia is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License. Republican spin machine winds up

David Axelrod, Senior Advisor to the President

Republicans are all over the news today suggesting the Americans will lose choice on their health care. Much of Affordable Health Care Act is already in effect and Rightardia is not aware of many people, if any, who have had to change insurance providers or doctors.

Many Americans are afraid of the mandate which will only effect people who can afford healthcare but do not have it. There are also hardship exemptions for the poor.

So this fine or tax is selective.  It will not effect most Americans.

David Axelrod was on the Morning Joe and explained the Affordable Health Care Act eliminates pre-existing conditions and lifetime caps. Children are now covered on their parent's policies until age 26.

Many people now have health insurance who did not have it before.

He also said the government will control costs by requiring insurance companies to provide preventive care and also demanding that insurance companies must have medical loss ratios of 80 per cent and rebate premiums to policy holders that don't meet that standard.

The era of insurance company windfall profits is over.

Morning Joe: Romney’s Comments On France will "Win ‘Em Over In Scranton’

The Morning Joe noticed Mitt Romney recently said he looks forward “to occasional vacations again in such a beautiful place” as France.

Did this add more fuel to the argument that Mittens out of touch?

Eugene Robinson quipped:
I think Rick Perry had the best line when he said, standing next to Romney,he wondered when he was going to ask if he had Grey Poupon.

Business community warming to Obama

This video discuses NY Times Thomas Friedman editorial on the dysfunctional GOP that Rightardia reported on earlier. The Jim Cramer comments are even more significant.

Jim Cramer suggested that many in the business world are starting to consider supporting President Obama:

They used to be [for Romney],” Cramer replied, “but now they feel that…well hold it, it’s a social issue thing. We don’t really care about that. Some of our wives, some of our husbands care about social issues. That’s not the focus. The focus is job creation. What happened to that debate? What happened to it? I don’t know. There’s a lot of jobs created if you have a terrific way to be pro-business.

Businessmen can usually smell a winner. That is unlikely to be Mittens.

Morning Joe's Mika attacks Newt's comments on the Occupy movement

Newt, of course, represents the 1 per cent that the Occupiers are protesting against.

Rightardia agrees that Newt is one of the biggest hypocrites is US politics.

Most of the Occupiers are independents. Newt is making a mistake by attacking them or suggesting they are the hippies of the 21st Century.

Huff Po: Republican civil war continues

The Huffington Post | Nick Wing First Posted: 11-30-10 09:39 AM | Updated: 11-30-10 09:54 AM
MSNBC Morning Joe Scarborough is out with a vicious new post encouraging Republicans to "man up" and take Sarah Palin down a peg.

"Republicans have a problem," Scarborough writes at Politico. "The most-talked-about figure in the GOP is a reality show star who cannot be elected."

Scarborough seeks to draw a comparison between the legacies of H.W. Bush and Palin:

I suppose Palin's harsh dismissal of this great man is more understandable after one reads her biography and realizes that, like Bush, she accomplished a great deal in her early 20s. Who wouldn't agree that finishing third in the Miss Alaska beauty contest is every bit as treacherous as risking your life in military combat? Maybe the beauty contestant who would one day be a reality star and former governor didn't win the Distinguished Flying Cross, but the half-termer was selected as Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants.

Former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan didn't take kindly to Palin's reduction of the Gipper's legacy, going as far as to call her a "nincompoop."

Republican strategist Karl Rove questioned Palin's presidential "gravitas" in October.  Rive wondered if her new reality TV show on TLC would showcase her value as a potential head-of-state.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski took a moment away from her write-in campaign recently to publicly question Palin's "leadership qualities" and "intellectual curiosity" for becoming president.

It's all part of a larger trend that Politico reported in October. County Club Republicans cannot allow Sarah Palin to win the GOP presidential nomination. Reporters Mike Allen and Jim VaneHei later characterized the basis of their piece as the worst kept GOP secret:  The Blue Blood Republicans fear of backlash amongst Palin's adamant and enthusiastic following.

Rightardia predicted months ago that party insiders would never let Sarah Palin run for president. She is not a team player, has an apparent personality disorder and is a loose cannon who doesn't take advice well. She rarely keeps staff more than a year and is also very vindictive.
She is a political diva.

Morning Joe needs more balance

About a year ago Mika Brzezinski was taking on Joe Scarborough when he he frequently made stupid right wing partisan statements. However, MSNBC management apparently told Mika to back off.

When the Republicans were about to pass a bill that would deny tenure to Florida teachers and only give them one year renewable contracts, The Morning Joe popped up at a Tampa schools who was celebrating when one of its teachers became a Florida Teacher of the Year.

Scarborough anticipated the conservative law would pass muster, but Gov. Charlie Crist, who recently became an independent, vetoed the wayward bill. There was a collective sigh of relief among parents and teachers all over Florida.

When tar balls started showing up in Pensacola beaches, The Morning Joe showed up in the Panhandle to declare "Florida was open for business." Actually tourists had already reported tar balls on the Florida Panhandle  beaches before the Morning Joe show in the Panhandle aired.

Scarborogh had once been a congressman form the Panhandle and he should have known better. Rightardia has warned progressive tourists to avoid the Panhandle because many of the beaches there are polluted. There are plenty of other fine places in Florida to visit that are oil free.

The Panhandle is one of the most conservative regions in the US and central and South florida went blue for Obama in the last election. Few people in central and south Florida have been advocating 'drill, baby, drill.' Let the conservatives in the Panhandle reap what they sowed.

We can't think of a good reason why a progressive would want to spend money in the Whitopian Panhandle.

Joe Scarborough shills with Peggy Noonan for the GOP this morning

I turned on the Morning Joe this morning and there was Joe Scarborough shilling for the GOP for Peggy Noonan, a former Republican speech writer.

Scarborough was pointing out how badly the nation needs a Republican Congress to even the Obama presidnecy out. He pointed out how the Democratic Congress helped moderate Bush.

Yes, Bush had to deal with a Democratic Congress in the last two years of his presidnecy, a fact that Scarbporogh failed to mention. Yesterday, Rightardia published data from the Gallup Organization that indicated the both Republican and independent Blue Dog Democrats are very unpopular and are dragging the Congressional approval rating down.

The Gallup data would indicate a GOP comeback in 2010 is unlikely.  Most Americans have not forgotten about the mess the GOp created on Wall street and in the Middle East. The Republicans also fell flat on their asses during Hurricane Kartrina.

America needs a Republican Congress like it needs another financial melt down. Not only no, but hell no!

Morning Joe discusses Henry Louis Gates

One of the more interesting discussions of the Henry Louis Gate's Jr's arrest. Joe Scarborough likes to paint Mika Brzezinski as liberal, but some of her views are certainly center-right.
