Republican governor tells big fat lie

Rightardia wrote an article about this last week. the Obama economic stimulus base on classic Keynesian economics is outperforming the EU that chose an austerity path. A socialist has replaced the conservative leader in France and another socialist leader may take he helm in Greece.

Europeans quickly tired of the austerity measures.

Apparently many Republicans are dyslexic and turn facts around. Gov. Bob McDonnell got the story wrong.

The US economy is outperforming the European and this is due to the Obama economic stimulus.

Need proof? See the chart that follows:

We got plenty of warning about about Gov. Bob McDonnell during the recent gubernatorial race in Virgina. His college thesis was riddled with value judgements.

In his thesis, McDonnell wrote "government policy should favor married couples over 'cohabitators, homosexuals or fornicators.'" McDonnell also "described working women and feminists as 'detrimental' to the family."

McDonnell also "criticized a landmark 1965 Supreme Court decision" which legalized the use of contraceptives and wrote that "man’s basic nature is inclined towards evil, and when the exercise of liberty takes the shape of pornography, drug abuse, or homosexuality, the government must restrain, punish, and deter."

In McDonnell's zeal to celebrate the Confederacy, her forgot to mention one institution: slavery. Is Gov. McDonnell a 'new Dixiecrat?'

Newsy: VA Gov. Bob McDonnell is a better GOP option than Sarah Palin

McDonnell is an excellent speaker, but his credentials as a pragmatist remain to be seen. He was a graduate of a Christian school and his thesis would not have been acceptable in a mainstream university because of the value judgements it contained.

He is governing a state that has a $5 billion deficit. McDonnel's speech was high on abstraction and low on concrete details.

Republicans have talked about limited government before but they have always expanded the federal government and deficit when elected.

McDonnel has only been in office a couple of months. Time will tell whether he has the right stuff. He appears to be a better option for the GOP than Sarah Palin.

Virginia Guberantorial candidate drops F-bomb

Rightardia wrote another article recently on Bob McDonnell college thesis.

Bob McDonnell (R-VA)

In Republican Robert F. McDonnell's 20-year-old graduate thesis, he wrote about working women, homosexuals and "fornicators." McDonnell stated his views have moderated over the years. Now, the F-bomb incident.

Radio host Mark Plotkin asked if McDonnell would consider increasing in the state gasoline tax to help fund the transportation budget. McDonnell said no, and uttered the expletive during his response.

"So no tax will be raised during your four-year term?," Plotkin asked.

McDonnell answered: "I'm going to find other ways to be able to fund transportation. I've outlined 12 f---g funding mechanisms that are creative, that are entrepreneurial."

Rightard of the month: Bob McDonnell

Bob McDonnell says that his views on many social issues have changed since he wrote the controversial thesis.
Bob McDonnell, the Republican nominee for governor in Virginia, defended himself Monday after the Washington Post reported that his 1989 master’s degree thesis advocated a number of controversial, socially conservative positions.

The Post reported Sunday that he described working women and feminists as "detrimental" to the family and said government policy should favor married couples over "cohabitators, homosexuals or fornicators."

McDonnell said repeatedly on a conference call with reporters that his views on many social issues have changed since he wrote the thesis, and blamed his Democratic opponent, state Sen. Creigh Deeds, for making polarizing social issues a “central issue in this campaign.”

Rightardia doesn't understand how such opinionated views ever made it through a thesis committee unless McDonnell attended a conservative church school which would allow such shoddy and unsubstantiated conclusions.

No mainline college or university would approve a thesis like McDonnell's.
Rightardia checked the McDonnell  bio on Wikipedia and found that he got a M.S.B.A. from Boston University. How in the world did a prestigious school like Boston University approve this thesis?

A bigger question is why would the citizens of Virginia want someone who has made such absurd sentiments as their governor?

The Republicans have always preferred social issues such as flag burning, gay marriage and abortion to substantive issues such as health care.
