Rightard of the month: Bob McDonnell

Bob McDonnell says that his views on many social issues have changed since he wrote the controversial thesis.
Bob McDonnell, the Republican nominee for governor in Virginia, defended himself Monday after the Washington Post reported that his 1989 master’s degree thesis advocated a number of controversial, socially conservative positions.

The Post reported Sunday that he described working women and feminists as "detrimental" to the family and said government policy should favor married couples over "cohabitators, homosexuals or fornicators."

McDonnell said repeatedly on a conference call with reporters that his views on many social issues have changed since he wrote the thesis, and blamed his Democratic opponent, state Sen. Creigh Deeds, for making polarizing social issues a “central issue in this campaign.”

Rightardia doesn't understand how such opinionated views ever made it through a thesis committee unless McDonnell attended a conservative church school which would allow such shoddy and unsubstantiated conclusions.

No mainline college or university would approve a thesis like McDonnell's.
Rightardia checked the McDonnell  bio on Wikipedia and found that he got a M.S.B.A. from Boston University. How in the world did a prestigious school like Boston University approve this thesis?

A bigger question is why would the citizens of Virginia want someone who has made such absurd sentiments as their governor?

The Republicans have always preferred social issues such as flag burning, gay marriage and abortion to substantive issues such as health care.
