Where are the Florida Jobs?

From: flasenatedems | Nov 4, 2011

As Florida's unemployment rate continues to remain high above the national average, Senate Democratic Leader Nan Rich, of Weston, asks what happened to Republican Governor Rick Scott's "Let's Get to Work" campaign slogan.

Millions of tax dollars have gone to corporations with no jobs to show for it, and even the governor's former company is expanding, but not in Florida.

The only GOP economic stimulus bill filed so far? Removing the state's 20-year old ban on dwarf tossing.

Rich also noted that Florida has passed out $2 billion in tax incentives that have only created 70,000 jobs, about on-third of what was promised. Rich added:

Some of it, it (the tax largess) appears now, has been gifts to special interests.
