With a new fleet of electric cars coming to a dealer near you, are the power grids ready? CNN's Alison Kosik reports.

Rightardia reported on the Chevy Volt. The Tesla has been available for quite a while and it has along waiting list for those who wish to purchase one. It uses laptop batteries to power the electric engine.
