Herman Cain is alleged to have harassed two women

Politico states that two women at the National Restaurant Association "complained of sexually suggestive behavior by Cain. Cain's comments  made the two angry and uncomfortable,

Politico's sources said, and the women signed agreements with the restaurant group that provided financial payouts to leave the association.

The agreements also included a non-disclosure agreement that bars the women from talking about the alleged harassment.

Rightardia would not be surprised if racial issues later surface with this story.

NBC First Read updateNBC News has confirmed that one of the women had received a settlement from the National Restaurant Association. The settlement occurred  after the woman complained  about inappropriate sexual conduct by Herman Cain.

TV Review: Secret Diary of a Call Girl

This is an excellent UK production that some of the Rightardia staff have been watching since last year. The star is Billie Piper, who used to be David Tenant's companion in Dr. Who.

Piper is an excellent actress who does a convincing portrayal as a prostitute. This show has been compared to "Sex in the City but that show was more about the city than sex. "The Secret Diary of a Call girl" has far more tasteful sex and is PG-MA. Piper doesn't not seem to be shy about taking it off.

Courtesy of Wikipedia, the series, set in London and revolves around the life of Hannah Baxter, a seemingly normal woman, who lives a secret life as a call girl, under the pseudonym Belle. Many of the encounters with her clients are humorous, although some are bittersweet.

The series focuses on her professional and private life and its complications as they collide. However, she receives help and advice from her best friend Ben (Iddo Goldberg) in most situations. A  fellow call girl Bambi (Ashley Madekwe) was introduced in the second series premiere. Hannah and she are close friends.

Hannah also narrates the series using the subjective camera technique which is much like a Shakespearean soliloquy.

Hannah wonders if she will ever be able to have a normal relationship with a man because of her profession. Stephanie , Cherie Lunghi, is Belle's madame and she was once a call girl like Belle. She tells Belle that such a relationship is impossible and that a woman once had broken her heart.

Sometimes when Belie goes out on a date with a boy friend, things get complicated because of her profession. Last season she wrote a book about her life that was the rage of London. she started dating the publisher of the book while she was writing new chapters for her second book.

Her relationship was going well until she paid for the services of a Viagra enhanced male prostitute whom she gave a rave review after he showed her what he could do.

When she submitted the chapter on the encounter to her publisher, her relationship with the publisher quickly ended.

In the beginning of the forth season , her boss, Belle's madame, has been arrested for money laundering and she picked Belle to run her business while she is away.

Hannah also to attend to another small matter, the madam'es daughter who thinks her mother is a "corporate head hunter." This a double entendre, of course.

This is a exceptionally well written and produced series. The actresses are quite attractive and the sets and wardrobes are impressive.

Belle is now in her own upscale flat and has what every girl in London wants:  a door that opens to the street. She is trying to have a normal relationship with Ben, her friend from her university days.

Rightardia gives this series the following rating:

We now know why they called these thugs "young guns"

Mar 17, 2011

Campaign 2010
According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, former Republican Congressional candidate and National Republican Congressional Committee Young Gun Tom Ganley (OH-13) was indicted on seven counts including kidnapping a Cleveland woman.

Ganley was a top tier candidate for the National Republican Congressional Committee in 2010 and received support of then-Republican Leader John Boehner even after these allegations came to light.

Since this Congress began, House Republican leaders have been dealing with the emerging and unfolding criminal investigation into another NRCC Young Gun, Representative David Rivera (FL-25).

“Tom Ganley is just one of the candidates with dangerous histories and violent behavior that House Republicans backed in past elections and it’s only a matter of time until the troubling histories of the others come to light,” said Jesse Ferguson of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

“With the criminal investigation expanding into Representative David Rivera, it’s clear that Ganley isn’t the first – or the last – of the candidates Republican leaders promoted whose background and behavior sends a chilling message.”

Background
  • Cuyahoga County grand jury files 7-count indictment against auto dealer Tom Ganley, accusing him of sexual assault on Cleveland woman. “A seven-count indictment accuses Tom Ganley, a high-profile auto dealer and onetime congressional candidate, of kidnapping a 39-year-old Cleveland woman and having sexual contact with her.” [Cleveland Plain Dealer, 3/15/11]
  • Ganley Sued for Attempted Rape and Sexual Assault. Last week we learned that a woman has filed a suit against Ganley for sexual assault. Ganley allegedly met with the woman, who was interested in volunteering for his U.S. Senate campaign and talking about her car payments, when he propositioned and sexually assaulted her in his private office. [Plain Dealer, 9/30/10]
  • Ganley received $18,500 from GOP Leadership. Ganley has received at least $18,500 in contributions from GOP leadership. [CQ Moneyline]
  • NRCC: Tom Ganley Advances to Top Level of Young Guns Program [NRCC press release, 7/13/10]
  • After the allegations of sexual harassment surfaced, Ganley was still due to welcome John Boehner at a campaign event in Akron. [TPMDC, 10/29/10]
  • Republicans wary of Rivera scandal. “Florida Rep. David Rivera, under an ethical cloud and facing an expanding investigation into his finances, is in a political squeeze from Republicans in Washington and Miami just two months into his congressional tenure. Republicans are already privately floating the names of potential primary challengers to Rivera, and on Capitol Hill he’s found himself increasingly isolated as leaders try to distance themselves from his troubles back home.” [POLITICO, 3/15/11]
  • NRCC chairman says embattled Florida Republican 'doing a very good job' . “David Rivera is a brand new member of our delegation from Miami who is doing a very good job in his duties up here," Sessions told The Ballot Box. "He's very active as a member of his freshman class. He's getting his job done and I think that he's seen in a very favorable light." [The Hill, 3/2/11]

Mediaite: Women Are Better Than Men

by Colby Hall | 8:38 am, September 11th, 2010
NY Post’s Page SIx column reports today that Mediaite founder and NBC/MSNBC Chief Legal Analyst Dan Abrams has a deal with Abrams Books to publish a book that makes the case for the superiority of woman, tentatively titled Man Down: Proof Beyond A Reasonable Doubt That Women Are Better Cops, Drivers, Gamblers, Spies, World Leaders, Beer Tasters, Hedge Fund Managers, and Just About Everything Else.

Msnbc legal eagle Dan Abrams is making the case for women, literally. He’s inked a six-figure deal with Abrams Books (no relation) to chronicle ways women are superior to men. In “Man Down,” he’ll present studies, polls and other “evidence” to prove that women actually best the boys in typically male areas like gambling and enduring pain, and even make better hedge-fund managers and cops.

Abrams isn’t basing this on his own studies of gorgeous actresses: “If I had any unique insight into women, I would be married. I don’t. This is a fun book written from the perspective of a lawyer making a case. A lot of people will be surprised by what we found.” It’s due around Mother’s Day next year.

Rightardia comment: Great timing!

Why didn't Abrams write a  book on law or media instead? According to Abrams:

It started when I read an article on various ways that women are better than men. I found it interesting and honestly didn’t believe some of the examples they cited, so out of curiosity I researched a little to determine how much of it was backed up by actual evidence.

While some of the ones from the article were speculative, as I did a little digging, I was surprised at how many serious studies and research reached the same conclusion — that women, as a group, are more thoughtful, efficient, tougher and less likely to make mistakes. But what led me to actually write the book was seeing the studies on how much better women were in so many areas that are considered classically male.

Abrams has finished the first draft, but am still working on it and adding “evidence” and examples. The goal is to keep it really light and fun while still using legitimate studies and research.

Abrams doesn't claim to have any unique insight into women: I mean come on, I’m a forty-something childless, single guy.

The book will discuss some of those area where men excell:  This is not an effort to beat up on us guys but it may serve as a wake up call for some.

Rightardia suspects Abrams will be getting dates from a lot of excellent women after his book is published.

Why women have sex

Rightardia knows that Republicans may have more money, but Democrats have greater success with the opposite sex.  The best things in life are indeed free.

Pravda tells the truth: Thirteen terribly weird facts about women

It is generally believed that the difference between men and women is enormous. Women and men differ in almost every imaginable aspect of human life, especially when it comes to psychology.

A woman does not have a man’s habit to scratch her noggin when she thinks of an answer to a confusing question, for example. Women doe not like to show they are confused. They never want to ruin their hairdo with that gesture either.

Women will never understand why footballers stand in a line with their hands crossed before a penalty kick during a match. In addition, women never shudder when a male character gets kicked in the groin in a movie.

When a woman yawns she covers her mouth with the palm of her hand, not with a fist.

After taking a bath, a woman grabs a towel and makes a turban on her head from it, at least for one minute. The reasons of such a weird oriental ritual are unknown.

A woman does not get mad when her underwear gets stuck between her buttocks. Women joyfully wear those items of torture called bikinis.

Many women worry about their looks when having sex.

Women open bottles with bottle openers.

A woman feels awkward if she does not carry anything in her hands. That is why they always carry their handbags around.

Women are absolutely indifferent to their genitals; they hardly know each other. Women do not talk to them, they do not give funny nicknames to them and they never get angry with them.

Sitting down in public transportation, women keep their legs together. That is why men often prefer to sit next to a woman because in this case they can sit spread-eagle.

If a woman finds her fly unzipped in a public place, she does not seem to care too much about it.

When a woman dresses up to go out, she puts on a blouse first. Pants come second. Men work it vice versa.

Finally, when an act of love ends, women do not feel like sleeping. They feel like talking and kissing.
