Is our medical system compatible with our gun laws?

Apparently conservatives don't see the contradiction.

RDT: The conservative medical care fight for the status quo

From Republican Dirty Tricks:

With all its flaws and limitations, Obamacare – America’s baby step towards joining the rest of the civilized world and offering health care as a right of citizenship, not a privilege of wealth – is now the law of the land.

Despite the President’s call for unity, the Republican *cough* “leadership” are again illustrating they lack the maturity required to actually live in the kind of free society they pretend to love by doing everything from (AGAIN)calling for armed revolution to continuing to lie about the law

Q: How Can You Tell A Republican is Lying about Obamacare?

A: Their Mouths Are Moving.

RDT: From liberal revolution to conservative plutocracy

The Crown, the British aristocracy and their allies in Parliament rigged the laws in favor of the aristocracy and it’s corporate tentacles, regardless of the economic harm inflicted on the average people.

Laws were written to allow the East India Company, the world’s first transnational corporation, to import tea to the colonies without paying any tax.

This priced local tea shops out of the market: an injustice infuriated the colonists.

The anonymous American revolutionary known to history as “Rusticus” nailed a pamphlet to posts all over Boston.

It was  Titled, “The Alarm,” and was this call to arms against corporate tyranny which eventually materialized into the first corporate protest known as the “Boston Tea Party.”

Rusticus wrote:

Are we in like Manner to be given up to the disposal of the East India Company, who have now the Assurance, to step forth in Aid of the Minister, to execute his Plan, of enslaving America? Their conduct …has given simple proof how little they regard the laws of nations, the rights, liberties, and lives of men. Fifteen hundred thousand, it is said, perished of famine in one year, not because the Earth denied its fruits, but because this company and its servants engulfed all the necessities of life and set them at so high a price that the poor could not purchase them.

Why conservatives are historical revisionists

Speaking of a historical revisionist, Newt Gingrich comes to mind.

Newt suggested the French Revolution was bad because French revolutionaries  attacked the Catholic Church. Of course, the French Revolution was stimulated by the American Revolution and the French fleet helped the colonists win the Revolutionary War.

Republicans have also stated the Civil War was about State's rights while it was really fought over the decreasing power of the Southern states and the expansion of slavery into new US territories.

Republicans have also suggested the Great Depression was caused by Democrats although three consecutive Republican  presidents preceded the Great Depression and the depression started during the Herbert Hoover presidency.

Republicans have also tried to take credit for LBJ's Civil Rights Act of 1964, something a representative from Georgia recently wanted an exemption from.

Considering the ALEC and GOP effort to make it harder to vote, Democrats would be stupid to allow Georgia to walk away from the Civil Rights Act that stopped Jim Crow laws in the South. These laws were designed to prevent blacks from voting.

Republican Dirty Tricks noted:

My friends over at Americans Against the Tea Party put it best when they said, “What does it say about a movement whose brightest “stars” are the dimmest bulbs?”

RDR's Taradacktyl wrote a funny article. Rightradia's Ricky the Rightard and Taradactyl's loud, opinionated uncle have a lot in common!

RDT: Earth Day, Republican Style

As Ronald Reagan used to say when he was corporate spokesperson: Profits are are most important products.

RDT: Haven't you got accustomed to the conservative hosing yet?

Republican Dirty Tricks explained:

To CONS, Americas greatness is measured by the power of a small pool of ruling elite that (“naturally”) owns and runs everything, and their ability to ride the large pool of economically-insecure cheap labor to the bank unfettered by the “pesky” government.

“Destroying America” to CONS would mean that We The People actually get to exercise the right to vote so many of us have bled and died for, and kick the CONS out of office.

To CONS, “Destroying America” means the GENERAL WELFARE supersedes the welfare of the 1%.

RDT: Small government Republicans in action

Republican Dirty Tricks:

Republicans busy themselves by distracting America with one of their old standbys – the war on women – with the ultimate aim of maintaining the Plutocracy they’ve been constructing for 30 years.

RDT: When Republicans lose, Americans win

On December 22, 2011, Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner pondered, “Why not do the right thing for the American people even if it’s not exactly what we want?”
