Notice to bloggers: Blogspot keeps adding new features all the time

Rightardia is published on Blogspot servers and we are very pleased with Blogspot.  We were able to easily setup Adsense and Amazon accounts for advertising.

Blogspot has added new features. We can now upload videos and put breaks into articles. We have also used Blogspot templates to make the web site more appealing.

We really like the new Template Designer that we used to morph Rightardia into its present form.

Although the Rightarida blog is unmoderated,  Blogpsot gave us the ability to identify comments as Spam. We can also delete a message or remove content from a specific message.

Our managing editor has reviewed 323 comments and only six were identified as Spam or removed. Usually these messages are posted by anonymous user who is either a wingnut or trying to sell something.

Here are some typical wingnut comments:

    1. Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Dr. Laura Schlessinger's racial rant is her latest...":

    You say:
Most understand that the N-word is not suitable ever.

Most who? Most white people? Most black people use it. I hear them use it all the time. Which was Dr. Laura's point... I don't agree with most of what she says, but on this, I have to agree with her.

Ever talk to a Philippino about black people? They'll tell you they hate them. Same with Chinese - they despise black people, and are afraid of them.

I'd say most people don't use it because black people get angry and violent with non-blacks when they use the term.

If black people are truly offended by it, THEY should stop using it. I'm willing to bet that "most" black people don't object to it - unless you aren't black. THAT is racism. And hypocrisy.

The job of commentators is to draw attention to hypocrisy in ALL its forms. I don't regard her use of the term as incendiary - I see it as an attempt to stimulate a debate on a topic that most white people are too afraid to broach. Whites have become afraid of black people. Blacks know it, and they use any excuse for violence.

Rightardia does not wish to waste time with a person who is obviously racist.

    2. Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Glen Beck, Holy Conservative Crusader":

    MICHELLE OBAMA'S ALLAH-DAY

Why was Michelle Obama spreading "stimulus" money in Spain? Do you suppose Barack Hussein Obama told her he can't get re-elected without the votes of Hispanics who aren't American citizens and she thought he meant the non-American Hispanics living in Spain?
At least those foreigners are much better than "voters" in American cemeteries!
BTW, in 1928 Herbert Hoover's campaign promised that if he were elected there would be "a chicken in every pot and a car in every garage."
Well, Obama has come up with a Hoover twist and says that if he's re-elected there will be "a chick in every car and some pot in every garage"!
For some insights into Obamessiah and his think-alikes, Google "Obama Avoids Bible Verses," "Obama Supports Public Depravity," "Government-Approved Illegals," and "Imam Bloomberg's Sharia Mosque."
Have you noticed that America's "Christian" president has favorites? See search engines including Google and type in "Obama Favors Islam Over Christianity."
I wonder what will happen when Obama "comes out" and admits that he's a Muslim!

This is the kind of  wingnut rants we see on Usenet in the alt.politics conference. We don't respond to rambling rants like this either.

Finally, Rightardia has a way to control some of these posts without becoming a moderated blog.

Note to bloggers: Videos are showing up with handlers

I noticed on MSNBC that videos now have 'handlers' that allow the size of the video to be edited. This is very convenient and I shortened the last video from the Rachel Maddow show from about eight minutes to six.

Notice the little triangles below the green bar. These 'handlers' allow a blogger to edit the length of the video in terms of the start and end of the video. This changes parameters in the embed that can then be copied to the blog.

    This is quite sweet!
