Wallace was FDR's vice president. American understood fascism and militarism in that era. We were fighting the Nazis and the Japanese.
Back then Americans didn't think they needed to coddle Fortune 500 corporations, billionaires and millionaires for the nation to be successful.
That was before the corporatists invented Reaganomics and supply side economics.
