Israel poised to attack Iranian nuclear facilities

A senior UK Foreign Office official says government ministers are anticipating Israeli military action in the wake of the UN watchdog report.

The London Daily Mail reported the he attack may come "as early as Christmas or very early in the new year." The ministers were told that Israel would strike Iran's nuclear site with "logistical support" from the US.

According to the British paper President Barack Obama would "have to support the Israelis or risk losing Jewish-American support in the next presidential election." 

Some analysts believe that once Iran is nuclear-armed, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and other Islamic nations would develop their own weapons.

Rightardia had heard domino theories like this before. The attack could lead to another Middle East war with Israel.  Turkey, Syria and Egypt will certainly react negatively on an attack. 

If this intelligence is accurate, Iran would be smart to launch a preemptive attack on Israel. Rightardia has read another report than the US has provided it latest bunker busting bombs to Israel. 

GBU-28 

Newsweek reported that Israel has received 55 US-made GBU-28 bunker-busting bombs, These munitions were probably provided for an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities. 

The Iranians claim to have developed their own indigenous S-300 missile defense system. This could greatly complicate an Israeli attack on Iran.
