Kenneth Langone, venture capitalist and co-founder of Home Depot speaks on How rich people give to charity, and create jobs for Americans.
Without the rich there would be not Scholarships, Universities, Hospitals, Church, Jobs etc. Fat Cats are a blessing to this nation. The more rich people there are, the better life is for Americans.
Kenneth Langone is probably part of the 1 per cent that doesn't want to pay reasonable taxes or deal with labor unions. He is obviously not a member of the Patriotic Millionaires.
When Obama won the 2008 elections, men like Langone were shocked because they just didn't understand the public anger toward GW Bush. Men like Langone think they own America.
Most of the divisiveness in politics has been on the GOP side who has been trying to derail the Obama train from the day the new president was inaugurated.
Has Obama been attacking affluent Americans? Apparently Langone thinks anyone who thinks the Bush tax cuts should be rescinded is anti-rich.

In additional, using the term "fat cat" is hardly an affront or hard nosed class warfare more typical of the GOP.
Langone is a philanthropist. His philanthropic focus has been Universities, medical research and training, education, and helping children.
He became embroiled as a principal figure in the 2004 prosecution by Eliot Spitzer of Richard Grasso for a controversial pay package received by the former chairman and chief executive of the New York Stock Exchange from 1995 to 2003.
Langone's political solution: Make another business person president like GW Bush. Unfortunately that has rarely worked. These two charts explain why:
The Republicans are suggesting that all we need to do is elect Mitt Romney and a bunch or other coporatist politicians and America will have a kumbaya moment.
Men like Langone has forgotten that GW Bush's corporatism, neo-conservatives and Wall Street sharks got us into this financial quagmire in the first place.
Of course, it's not class warfare when Republicans attack organized labor, the public school system, Social Security or Medicare.

Langone makes some valid points, but most students complete college using government grants, not scholarships from people like Langone.
In addition, Langone is a hard line Republican. Rightardia doubts that he would be happy with any Democratic president.
Rightardia reads the White House blog every days and publishes the weekly presidential address and West Wing Week. We have not noticed a divisive tone from the president or his staff.
In fact, the Republican candidates for president have made numerous outrageous and divisive statements, many of which are not even factual. The worst offenders are Rick Santorum and Michelle Bachman. We also doubt if a rogue like Newt Gingrich could pull Americans together.
