Herman Cain unlikely to be a factor in GOP nomination

Mitt Romney just released an ad attacking Rick Perry although Herman Cain is leading Romney in the polls.

Why is this? The Intrade prediction explains it well!

Cain is not raising money for the GOP run, but Perry is. It is possible if Romney gets the GOP nod from establishment Republicans, the Tea Party Republicans will stay home.

In addition, seniors are unlikely to vote Republican because of the GOP intent to slash Medicare and Social Security.

This provides some good news for Obama, but he is hardly out of the woods. His support among progressives, unions, blacks and Hispanics is seriously eroding.

The next election may be about which candidate is the lessor of evils.

Romney seems vulnerable on foreign policy. His speech to the Citadel was amateurish and indicated Romney wants the Bush evil empire back with its massive military sending.

Romney also blurred the line between terrorism and Islamic fundamentalism.Of course, the Later Day Saints (Mormons) are a fundamentalist faith so Rightardia wonders why Romney walked into that tar pit.

The next election may be a choice between the lessor of evils. It appears the Democrats are going to try and portray Mittens as a flip flopper and for good reason,

Romney has reversed himself on many issues and his Massachusetts medical plan was the blue print for " ObamaCare" which Tim Pawlenty humorously called "ObomneyCare."

Romney was a divisive leader as governor of Massachusetts and vetoed nearly 1,000 bills. Democrats would be smart to portray him as the  "gridlock un-leader." According to Wikipedia:

Romney issued nearly a thousand vetos as governor, the large share of which of which were overturned by one or the other of the state houses. Late in Romney's term, his vetos issued began to annoy Republicans in the legislature and he lost support among them too.
