The Google Affiliate Network is cool

Rightardia got invited to join the Google Affiliate Network and we were quickly accepted. We found some You Tube videos on the Google Affiliate Network after completing an application that provided information about the Rightardia blog. We are winging the Google Affiliate network so far and have used the Google gadgets in the Draft | Design html template to create two link boxes: one for script links and one for hyperlinks. The links gadget requires HTML or Java script. The hyperlinks gadget is self-explanatory.

At this time we are using script links and hyperlinks for Abe's books, Barnes and Nobel and MWave. We were also contacted by Hertz Rental Car, but that appears to be unrelated to the Google Affiliate Network.

We are trying to find a close fit between our advertisers and our Alexa demographics. More of our readers are middle aged, male and most have attended graduate school. See the Alexa screenshot that follows:

A noxious and uncouth right wing troll thinks Rightardia is written by a 22 year olds! Well, think again! We wouldn't be pulling consistent demographics like these if Rightardia were written by young people.

We aren't Gawker, that is for sure. But we are liberal and progressive and really appreciate Gawker.

So what do our news ads get us? First, we have control of what links we display. Second, an increased revenue stream. Here is what our new ads look like. All were created by Blogger gadgets including the Amazon display ad we have been running for months. :
