A new study released in Michigan shows that Michigan state workers make nearly 7 percent less in pay and benefits annually than workers in the private sector. The study from Rutgers University contradicts a guide released by Michigan Governor Rick Snyder that suggested state workers earn twice as much as those in the private sector.
This is the latest GOP attempt at class warfare to create distrust of federal and local government employees.
Poliifact also debunked a statement that Rand Paul made about the pay of federal employees making twice what corporate employees make. Politifact pointed out this is an apples an oranges comparison because federal have three times the education that corporate workers have. Politifact rated Paul's assertion about federal pay as false.
