Gov. Christie Defends 'Disney World' Trip

"We did not have any significant loss of life,  calling it an "extraordinary accomplishment."--NJ Gov. Chris Christie.

During  his first news conference since returning home, Christie said he consulted continually  with state Senate President Stephen Sweeney. Sweeney, a Democrat, was the acting governor while  Christie, a Republican, spent five days at Disney world.

Christie  had left the state Sunday morning hours before the blizzard hit.

Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno also was away visiting a sick father in Mexico.
