Consumer Review: Ontel Turbo Snake

Secular Human bought an Ontel Turbo Snake at a discount store for about $7 dollars.

It uses a piece of insulated heavy gauge wire with some Velcro on the end. There is a cap on the other end of the wire for safety reasons.

Velcro under the microscope has both hooks and loops. The Turbo Snake Velcro uses the hooked version.

Many people could fabricate their own Turbo Snake with some wire, Velcro and a strong adhesive to glue the Velcro to the wire.

Because this product is so inexpensive, it is probably not worth the effort to roll your own.

The kit Rightardia bought had two Turbo Snakes, one for tub and shower and the other for bathroom sinks.

It worked perfectly; Three sinks and one tub are now unclogged and no chemicals were needed. The kit even came with a handy hook to hang the snakes for use at a later date.

Secular Human said it is a good idea to run water into a sink before you unclog it.  This will flush away some black particulate material that you don't need to recover with the Turbo Snake.

This review was unsolicited and there was no renumeration.
