CNN presented a report about President Obama’s vacation in Ban Harbor, Maine.
After discussing the usual details about the Obama family’s hikes and how no president is ever truly on vacation and so on and so forth, Suzanne Malveaux pointed out CBS’s White House Correspondent Mark Knoller’s figures showing that Obama has taken less vacation time than President George W.Bush.
So far Obama has taken 65 vacation days while George W, Bush had taken more than 216 in the same 18 month time period.
Oddly, the Republican National Convention launched a website blasting what it considers Obama's "leisure activities or missteps" during the Gulf oil disaster. . .
Obama has also faced criticism for scheduling a trip up north, instead of vacationing in the Gulf, as he advised other Americans to do.
Rightardia advised progresives stay out of the Florida Panhandle and go to central Florida locations like Clearwater or Orlando or East coast locations which voted for Obama in the last election.
The Panhandle is notoriously right wing and helped George W. Bush win the presidency in 2001. Some of the communities in the Panhandle also indicated they would refuse federal aid during the Gulf Coast disaster.
