Sarah Palin is history

It's over for her. If somehow the right gets her to run for office, she will be defeated. Americans do not give quitters a second chance. It is clear that Sarah Palin has some stability issues.

The right never understood the concerns about the left had about her. Most Democrats considered Palin to be 'Bush in a skirt." We didn't want Foresta Gump running around in the Oval Office. We didn't think she was bright enough to be president.

The Republicans needed a 'Hail Mary' play to win the 2008 elections and hoped to capture some of the disenchanted Hillary supporters with Palin. But Sarah wasn't ready for prime time. The candidate Obama even opined she would never be ready in the middle of the presidential campaign because it took him four months to prepare himself for a presidential run.

The GOP has only itself to blame for the Palin self-immolation. Perhaps, if the Republicans had avoided the 'bum's rush' with her, she could have matured into a viable national political candidate. What a scary thought!

In any event Democrats need to move onto health care and forget about  a politician whose political career is over.
