India is an emerging Third World country that may become a super power. It has a population of more than one billion. It would be interesting to compare the Indian health care system to that of the Chinese.
India represents a free enterprise model for developing countries while the Chinese use a socialistic model. Rightardia has heard that Chinese health care is good around the major metropolitan cities but lacking in outlying rural areas.
Rightardia has advocated early on in the health care debate that the US should avoid 'reinventing the wheel' and take a hard look at foreign health care systems that have better ratings than the US. The US is ranked 37th in the world by the World Health Organization.
The US has the most expensive system in the world with a lot of redundant health care facilities and uneeded medical equipment
Although Lau Dobbs sometines goes off the deep right wing end, his series on health care is excellent which features Kitty Pilgrim. Both journalists should be considered for awards for this important work.
