The Bush Twins: Goofus and Gallant

Rightardia has compared the Bush twins to the Highlights Goofus & Gallant, a cartoon feature created by Garry Cleveland Myers and drawn by Anni Matsick.

The strip features two contrasting brothers, Goofus and Gallant. Each cartoon, shows how each boy would respond to the same situation.

Goofus chooses an irresponsible path, while Gallant is proper.

Jenna Bush is, of course, Goofus, who takes after her father, GW Bush. Barbara Bush is brighter and got into a better college.  She takes after her smarter mother.

Has the NBC Today Show dropped Jenna Bush Hagar?

The NBC Today show signed Jenna Bush Hagar as a 'correspondent" last year.

Although she moved to NYC for the NBC job and to be closer to her sister, Rightardia can find none of her reports after her wedding in August 2009.

She was supposed to write stories about once a month on issues such as education.

According to Wikipedia in April 2010, Hager interviewed former President Bill Clinton and discussed Haiti and Clinton's daughter's upcoming marriage.



The Baltimore Sun reported Hagar has been busy giving speeches around the US, but she has quit her teaching position.

Did ABC News lay her off or did she quit?

Gawker also did a funny article on Meghan McCain who now works for the Daily Beast. Gawker had an example of her writing which is illiterate. 

Gawker noted some lines Meghan McCain wrote that the Daily Beast forgot to edit. “I was one of the people on Time's panel to nominate and argue over who was most deserving of the title. . . . Everyone chose both interesting and year poignant candidates . . . Other notable people that were discussed were Nancy Pelosi, Glenn Beck and the country of Haiti . . .The "Person of the Year" is an illusive title that has historically showcased, for better or worse, the individual who has had the most distinctive impact on the previous year . . . I believe that Mark Zuckerberg is the Henry Ford of our times and Facebook is the Model-T.” Both Republican daughters need some journalism classes. Jenna Bush Hagar's work on NBC has gotten mixed reviews.

Jenna Bush Hager is the newest correspondent for the Today show

Jenna Bush Hager is the newest correspondent for Today Show. NBC News  hired one of the Bush twins. Jenna is now a school teacher in Baltimore. She will do monthly segments primarily about education.

The 27-year-old daughter of former President George W. and Laura Bush, Jenna and her twin sister Barbara were once better-known for their wild partying. Check out the 'picnic picture' below of Jenna in her wild college days:

How the times have changed.  Jenna is not only a teacher but also an author.  During her two previous guest appearances on Today, she "knocked it out of the park," said the show's executive producer Jim Bell.  "I think she can handle" being a correspondent.

Really? I wonder if Bell saw these pictures? Jenna would have been wiser to have kept a low private profile. If NBC News was going to hire a Bush twin, they should have hired Barbara, the smart one.

Once a 'bush," always a Bush. Stealing a line from Rush Limbaugh, "I hope she fails."
