The Atheist Pig: God sacriced his only son for the human race

"For this is how God loved the world: He gave his unique Son so that everyone who believes in him might not be lost but have eternal life." John 3:16

The implications in the Bible is that Jesus died for all of our sins and if he has not died the world would have ended because God was displeased with the human race.

This is explained in the next paragraph:

It (his death) was for all the world. He tasted "death for every man," Hebrews 2:9. He "died for all," 2 Corinthians 5:15. "He is the propitiation for the sins of the whole world," 1 John 2:2.

This is a peculiar logic, Why would God have to sacrifice his only begotten son to "save the world" if God  held the world's destiny in his hands?

As the Atheist Pig points out, Jesus was resurrected and the Holy Ghost lived on.

Bible hour: Why early Christians created the Holy Ghost

One of the jokes that is circulating in Democratic circles.

Rick Perry visited a rectory and had dinner with a group of priests. He even looked up the Catholic grace and the Internet before he went to dinner.

Monsignor O'Mara asked Rick Perry to perform grace. Perry said:

Bless us, O Lord! and these Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty of the father, the son and . . . oh, what was the third one

The Holy ghost is forgettable and misunderstood by a lot of Christians

And for good reason.

Most of the disciples believed that Jesus was divine and that it would be impossible for the Romans to crucify him.

The account of the crucifixion suggests Jesus died a low and painful death. His death shocked the disciples. How could this be?

Enter the Holy Ghost.

The disciples explained the dispatch of Jesus with the Holy ghost. Although the Romans, killed the body of Christ, the disciples explained the ghost walked free.

This is why many worship this relic of Christendom, the Holy Ghost today.

If you have a Holy Ghost, whey then did Christ need to be resurrected? Perhaps the Disciples were tyring to say that the Romans really didn't kill Jesus.

Of interest, Jesus said you will not recognize me after I am resurrected and will not be able to touch me:

But their eyes were kept from recognizing him.  (Luke 24:16).

According to Mark 16:12 Jesus appeared "in another form that was, different from his "usual" appearance.

Again, the disciples were probably overjoyed that Jesus has returned and wasn't really dead. This suggests that the Holly Ghost appeared before the disciples before it was lifted into the heavens as were the other great Biblical prophets.

Amen!
