Media Matters: Target and Amazon are selling "Jihad chic" scarves

On her Atlas Shrugs blog, Pamela Geller attacked both the online retail site Amazon.com and Target as "norming barbarity" and "pimping for jihad." Both corporations are selling scarves in a black and white print Geller said are associated with Hamas and terrorism. Echoing past right-wing attacks on alleged terrorist scarves, Geller posted the following images and added her commentary:

Haaretz: Leaked CIA memo cites U.S. Jews among exporters of terrorism

The Wikileaks website released a CIA document on Wednesday that examines the trend of Americans committing terrorist acts overseas which includes American Jews in Israel.

American Jews in Israel were one of four groups mentioned in the classified report, titled "What if Foreigners See the United States as an Exporter of Terrorism?"

"Some American Jews have supported and even engaged in violent acts against perceived enemies of Israel," the report reads.

In 1994, Baruch Goldstein, an American Jewish doctor from New York, emigrated to Israel, joined the extremist group Kach, and killed 29 Palestinians during their prayers in the mosque at the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron which helped trigger a wave of bus bombings by Hamas in early 1995.

Other groups mentioned were Irish-Americans who supported the Irish Republican Army. A group of Muslim-American men who traveled to Pakistan last year to engage in Jihad.

Also, a Pakistani-American man, David Headley, who conducted surveillance for the Lashkar-i-Tayyiba terrorist group ahead of the attack in Mumbai, India in November 2008 that killed more than 160 people.

The leaked report was compiled in February 2010 by the CIA's Red Cell, which, according to the memorandum, was tasked with "taking a pronounced 'out-of-the-box' approach that will provoke thought and offer an alternative viewpoint on the full range of analytic issues."

Newsmax: Threats Against Obama Prompt Secret Task Force

Threats against President Obama have became so disturbing that a secret Presidential Threat Task Force has been created within the FBI to gather, track, and evaluate assassination threats that might be related to domestic or international terrorism.

The disclosure appears in a new chapter to the paperback edition of my book “In the President’s Secret Service: Behind the Scenes With Agents in the Line of Fire and the Presidents They Protect,” which hits bookstores Aug. 3.

The hardcover edition reported that threats against Obama rose by as much as 400 percent compared with when President Bush was in office. Although threats fluctuate, the level continues to be at high enough levels to call for the threat task force. Many of the threats are from racists who have no connection with politics.

Really?

Rightardia suspects most of the threats are form domestic sources. In general international terrorists go after high profile targets that inflict as many causalities as possible. It is a lot easier for an international terrorist to attack a business than it is to attack the president.

Domestic terrorists often see themselves heroic figures who will lead an American counter-revolution that will restore America as a white, Christian nation.

Because these domestic types are romantic and unrealistic, they want to kill a symbol of the American transition to a multi-cultural society, President Obama.

Rightardia receive email form the DOJ daily and almost everyone convicted of threatening the president has been a white supremacist, neo-Nazi or neo-confederate. We don't expect that to change.
