ThinkProgress: Paul Ryan Tells Florida Seniors That Obamacare Includes Death Panels

Paul Ryan calls the The the Independent Payment Advisory Board, or IPAB — a provision included in the Affordable Care Act —The death panel. The IPAB is tasked with making binding recommendations to Congress for lowering health care spending, should Medicare costs exceed a target growth rate. Congress can accept the savings proposal or implement its own ideas through a super majority.

Death panels were named PolitiFact's 2009′s Lie of the Year.

How Fox News killed my mother

by Tracy Knauss

Today I posted an image called "Fox News killed my mother." Because it did.

It was the most widely circulated image I've ever posted. But, after about and hour I could no longer read any of the comments. Still can't.

And some of you have messaged me to say you can't see it. So here it is again. This time, my explanation will be in the first comment instead of here.

Basically my mother fell and refused to go to the doctor because she was afraid that "Obamacare" would get information about her and use it in their "death panels."

Since then several of you shared identical experiences. This is how their fear mongering is killing our nation, one person at a time, one lie at a time.

There be 'death panels" in Arizona

As ThinkProgress has reported, Gov. Jan Brewer (R-AZ) and the GOP-controlled state House have turned a blind eye to the plight of 98 Arizona patients in desperate need of organ transplants.

Since Brewer enacted painful cuts to the state’s Medicaid program in October, two Arizonans unable to pay for the transplants they needed passed away.

After months of appeals and protests, it appears Brewer has finally agreed to set aside a $151 million “uncompensated-care pool to pay health-care providers for ‘life-saving’ procedures, including transplants.”

However, state House Republicans are refusing to let measures to restore funding for organ transplants advance.  State House Appropriations Committee Chairman John Kavanagh (R) explained, “not enough lives would be saved to warrant restoring millions in budget cuts” for the transplants.

Politico.com: Halloween Death to Conservatism display

The not-so-subtle "RIP" to Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush on East Capitol Street enraged at least one conservative passerby.  He told POLITICO: "This is the liberal tolerance we keep hearing about. Someone went to a lot of effort to show how little class they have."

Actually the passerby's comments indicates he lacks a sense of humor. This Halloween display is professional and must have taken many hours to prepare.

Well done!

'The Party of No' becomes 'The Party of Death'

Over the years the GOP has been responsible for the death of a lot of people.  Read some of Noam Chomsky's books if you don't know what I am talking about. In the Iraq War alone, more than 1.3 million Iraqis have died as well as 4335 US service men.
The Republican Party is, indeed, the party of death!
