Russia Today finally comments on Kyle Hatcher dipomatic 'expose'

Rightardia comment: The Kyle Hatcher video was heavily edited while the British consul video was not. It is possible the Russians suspect Hatcher of working for the CIA or he speaks Russian too well. Either is grounds for getting the boot from Russia.

The American embassy in Moscow has filed a protest to the Russian Foreign Ministry over a spicy video that appeared on the web allegedly featuring a US diplomat. The US State Department says the footage is a fabrication.

The controversial video, posted on the Internet in August, allegedly shows the 34-year-old diplomat talking on his mobile phone in the street, then cuts inside to a hotel room where a man resembling Kyle Hatcher is alone. After that it cuts into a darkened room where a man and a woman are having sex. It’s not clear whether it is Hatcher or not.

"We had our security office back in Washington take a look at that and they are convinced Kyle has done nothing wrong. I have full confidence in him and he is going to continue his work here at the embassy," said John Beyrle, US Ambassador to Russia.
According to him, the video was a montage of lot of different clips, “some of them which are clearly fabricated".
American officials reportedly suspect the footage was fabricated by the FSB – Russia's Federal Security Service.
John Beyrle filed the protest of over an "attempted smear" of Kyle Hatcher.
“This kind of effort to discredit an American diplomat really has no place in the sort of relationship that we are trying to build with the Russian Federation”, Beyrle said in an interview with ABC news.
Hatcher is responsible for contacts with religious and human rights groups in Russia.
The Russian Foreign Ministry hasn’t commented on the issue so far.
Meanwhile, it’s not the first sex scandal involving diplomats this year. In July, a British deputy consul in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg was sacked after he was secretly filmed having sex with two prostitutes.

Kyle Hatcher: U.S. Complains To Russia About "Sex Tape" Smear Campaign

Rightardia comment: When British Counsel James Hudson was outed in a brothel, there was little doubt who did the deed. Compare the Hudson video that follows to the video of Kyle Hatcher. The Hatcher video is amateur work and probably not the work of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).

Why would the US have a liaison to Russian religious and human rights groups? This sounds like an old Bush faith based program. Also, why was the Hudson video posted on Russia Today, but the Hatcher video was not?




WASHINGTON — The U.S. Embassy in Moscow has complained to the Russian Foreign Ministry about a sex tape that U.S. officials say is a smear of an American diplomat.

The State Department is calling the video that appeared on a Russian Web site a fabricated montage that includes some real footage of Kyle Hatcher, a married diplomatic liaison to Russian religious and human rights groups.

The Russians wanted to get rid of an Army major who spoke Russian so fluently that locals could not tell he was not a native speaker. An attractive hotel maid who worked for the KGB got him into the sack in a room that was being monitored. The Russians immediately tried to blackmail him. He turned himself in and was removed from the old Soviet Union. The major was married, but I never heard how the event affected his marriage.

British Diplomat James Hudson, 37, resigned from his posting to the Urals over a sex video, which is thought to have been secretly shot by Russian spies. Footage posted on Russia Today showed Mr Hudson kissing the two semi-naked girls in a brothel.

The film, which could have left him open to blackmail, is believed to have been shot in a brothel in the city of Ekaterinberg, where Mr Hudson was Deputy Consul General. Today the KGB is called the FSB.

The four-minute, 18-second video was posted on Russia Today. Rightardia reported on this story and posted the video.

British diplomat leaves Russia after three way with prostitutes

A British deputy consul in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg has been sacked after he was secretly filmed having sex with two prostitutes.

The explicit video, which was believed to have been shot in a brothel, was posted on a local news website. The footage apparently shows drunk James Hudson romping with two prostitutes.

The British Foreign Office (FCO) confirmed the departure of Hudson, who was the deputy consul general in the city. However, they refused to comment on whether it is indeed their man in Yekaterinburg who is in the video.

The FCO spokesman said the organization “expects all its staff to demonstrate high levels of personal and professional integrity and takes all allegations of inappropriate behavior seriously.'"

Yekaterinburg media also accused Hudson of gambling and drug abuse during office hours.
Meanwhile, instead of criticizing the diplomat for his indecent behavior, the British papers have pointed a finger at Russia.

''A security source said Russia's FSB intelligence service, the modern KGB, may have carried out the sting to embarrass Britain,” wrote The Sun. "Russian intelligence has a long history of making sex films and taking compromising photos to control people or further its aims.''

According to The Telegraph, ''Hudson, 37, resigned from his posting to the Urals over the video, which is thought to have been secretly shot by Russian spies. ''

Meanwhile, Dmitry Babich, a reporter at Russia’s RIA news agency, is “not sure this affair has a political character.”

“Actually, we’ve learned about it from British tabloids. If FSB and Russian authorities in general had wanted to make it a scandal, we would have learned about it from Russian television and it would be given a very high profile,” he said.

Hudson, a divorced father of one, joined the Foreign Office some 15 years ago. He has been posted to Sarajevo, Havana and Budapest. But being caught with his trousers down on film has meant his last posting on active service, not least to Her Majesty, was probably in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg.
