Hitler was not a union man

We have an anti-union political party in the US, too.

When Hitler came to power , he did close the trade unions and confiscate their treasuries. He replaced all othe unions with one large Nazi controlled union, ‘Strength Through Joy’ (Kraft durch Freude).

Just months after Hitler was appointed Chancellor in 1933, he ended trade unions in Nazi Germany. On May 2nd, 1933, police units occupied all trade unions headquarters and union officials and leaders were arrested. The funds that belonged to the trade unions – effectively this was workers money – were confiscated.
