Americans have been fooled by privatization schemes for years. In most cases, its cost the consumer more in the long term when a government function is privatized.

This is because private enterprise often has the twice the overhead government has. CEOs are often paid 400 times what the average worker is paid, and stock dividends have to be paid out.

The government has to fund a public service commission's to oversee the privatized government function.
