Newt is erratic and a flake. He is both pragmatic, when required, and neo-conservative. His idea for Secretary of State is the bellicose pitbull, John Bolton. Bolton was a leading Israeli leg humper when he was the Ambassador to the UN.

The National Review recently published an editorial that that did not endorse Newt for president or even damn him with faint praise. The National Review said:
Gingrich has always said he wants to transform the country. He appears unable to transform, or even govern, himself. He should be an adviser to the Republican Party, but not again its head.
In other words, the National Review sees Newt as a staff person, not a leader.
