Sex news: A historic kiss

Petty Officer 2nd Class Marissa Gaeta, 23 won a raffle prize to be one of the first sailors to greet her loved one, 22-year-old Petty Officer 3rd Class Citlalic Snell. She disembarked the ship after at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story in Virginia.

Under the old Don't ask, don't tell (DADT) policy in the armed services, the two women would have been discharged from the Navy for a simple kiss like this.

One of our readers wrote about a recent book by the scientist, Simon LeVay. It's title is "Gay, Straight, and the Reason Why: The Science of Sexual Orientation." It addresses the "chosen lifestyle" theory of homosexuality which has done harm to the LGBT community. Amazon rates the book with three stars.

In a related matter, A rugby player had a stroke and woke up gay. Rightardia heard about the story on Dr. Oz.

Dr. Oz indicted that the Amygdala and its wiring with other parts of the brain appears to drive sexuality. Straight women and gay men have similar brain profiles of the Amygdala and congruent brain areas..

The Amygdala has a primary role in the processing and memory of emotional reactions. The amygdalae are considered part of the limbic system.Of interest, conservatives have larger amygdalas than liberals.

Janeane Garofalo has been taliking about conservative limbic systems for a long time.  Garofalo said this recently to a wing nut:

It’s not your fault, really. It’s your limbic brain. Pressing up against the brain pan. Causes your synapses to misfire. And all that pressure and misfiring acts on the ‘accepts a Black Man as President’ part of the frontal lobe, turning you into a conservative or a redneck or a white supremacist with no real knowledge of history.

This may suggest conservatives are more susceptible to emotional political arguments than liberals that would explain the success of men like Rush Limbaugh.

Limbugh does not bury his listeners with facts. Most of arguments are rants that center around a simple thesis that he never attempts to prove.
