The one word that describes Newt to a T

Newt frequently invokes God in his campaign

sanctimonious--Making a show of being morally better than others, especially hypocritically pious.

Of interest, the sanctimonious Newt failed to qualify for the Virginia primary because he didn't get 10,000 valid signatures.Rick Perry didn't make the cut either. In Perry's case he submitted more signatures than Newt but there were also irregularities with them.

Several hundred signatures were invalid for both candidates.

According to Hot Air:

Moe Lane of Red State pointed out on Twitter that Gingrich is actually leading in Virginia right now with 30 percent of the vote compared to just six percent for Perry. . . (T)he Virginia primary ballot will consist entirely and exclusively of … Mitt Romney and Ron Paul. That’s your choice. Pass the Everclear.

Virginia is one of the states involved in the Super Tuesday primaries. This is major setback for Newt Gingrich. His staff plans to conduct a vigorous write-in campaign.

Some Pundits are questioning the organizational skills of Newt's campaign staff.
