North Dakota GOP is cruel and unusual to locked out workers



Workers locked out of American Sugar plants in North Dakota are being dfenied unemployment. Jesse Russell reports.
Workers that have been forced off the job by American Crystal Sugar at two North Dakota plants won’t be able to collect unemployment benefits. The three members of the Senate Delayed Bills Committee voted on Monday denied the request with one member expressing he was concerned they would be perceived as “choosing sides.” The workers in North Dakota, who are not on strike, have been locked out and unpaid since August 1. American Sugar has also locked out employees at plants in Minnesota, but those employees are able to collect unemployment benefits.Workers locked out of American Sugar plants in North Dakota are being denied unemployment. North Dakota also recently denied the locked out workers unemployment compensation. 

American Sugar has also locked out employees at plants in Minnesota, but those employees are able to collect unemployment benefits.
