Marco Rubio lies about his parents immigration

Marco Rubio's parents were not exiles.

According to dictionary.com. exile is expulsion from one's native land by authoritative decree.

Rubio's parents came to the US voluntarily in 1956 for "economic reasons", 2.5 years before the Cuban revolution. Fidel Castro was not in Cuba when he parents immigrated to the US.

Rubio is lying when he says his parents came to the US in 1959.

Rubio's "American Dream" is political theater and a "pants on fire" lie.

The term "Cuban expatriate" usually  refers to Cubans who left the country after Castro came into power. Many of these people were not exiles either but left voluntarily after Castro seized private property. Most online dictionaries do no have an entry for the word "expatriate."
