WIN: Republican open government?

8/24/2011

Wisconsin Republican congressman Paul Ryan is still giving his unemployed constituents the cold shoulder. But that’s not stopping jobless workers from continuing to demand that Ryan at least pretend that he represents them as well as corporations. Jesse Russell has more.

On day five of the unemployed demanding a meeting with Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan protesters showing up in the morning were greeted by a locked office and security provided by the Kenosha Police Department. Scott Page is one of the Ryan Seven and said they would not be allowed in the building without an appointment.

[Page]: …so we tried to call and they won’t answer the phone. Basically they posted a police officer here that told us he would warn us one time before arresting us.

Meanwhile, a handful of protesters spent a second day spreading the demands for a face-to-face meeting to the Congressman’s Racine, Wisconsin office.
