President Obama addresses the need to reduce the nation's deficit while creating jobs across the country and wishes Americans a happy Fourth of July.
Rightardia is convinced that cutting the deficit will do little to recover the economy. In the past increased government spending advocated by Keynesian economics was the main way a government has dug itself out of a economic morass.
This government spending was paid for by the affluent during the Great Depression. Its the wealthy Americans who have benefited by the lax tax policies in the US for the past 30 years. it's these tax policies coupled with runaway government spending mainly by Republican administrations, boneheaded deregulation and corporate greed that have caused the Great recession.
Many businessmen have also realized that customers are more important than tax cuts. Without a recovery that strengthens the middle class, the American economy will continue to be stuck in first gear.
