Rightardia dropped the ball in US woman's soccer. The US woman's soccer team worked itself into the FIFA world cup finals before we noticed with stunning last minute defeats of Brazil and France.
Now the team is in the finals against Japan, a team the US has beaten twice. The Japanese team has technical excellence and Hope Solo, the goalkeeper, will have to be at the top of her game for the US to win.
After the come from behind quarterfinal victory against Brazil, Solo commented:
Even when we were a player down and a goal behind in extra time, you sensed that something was going to happen," and added that "[the] team kept fighting. You can't teach that. It's a feeling - and we play with that feeling.
