Shelley Leonard opened the event and was followed by the police officer, Wade Clark. Clark was one of the first black police officers who went through a police academy in Pinellas County.

Col. Brandt explained that we should be shoring up government, not dismantling it. He cited the Japan disaster and an example.Brandt is a Vietnam O-2A Forward Air Controller.

Mark Hanisee used to be a Republican until he found out what the Florida GOP was up to six or seven years ago. A Republican named Norman Roach had spoken at an earlier event but did not make it this rally.
The president of Shield Insurance, Gordon Chernecky.
Gordon Chernecky gave a rousing speech. It was great to see someone from the corporate community who has a conscience.

The photos were shot with a Kodak Z710 camera with a glare suppressor and UV filter installed. The digital photos were precessed with Fedora Linux' Shotwell Photo Manager. None of the photos had to be enhanced.
