A study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention identifies 15 states and 644 counties in the southeast US that make up the "diabetes belt".
We've notice roughly the same area has an obesity problem, a high rate of teen pregnancy, and poverty .
The southern states receive more in federal aid than they pay in taxes and most of those 30 to 40 per cent of americans who don't pay taxes live in the South.
Now the high rate of diabetes in the Southland.
