DCCC: House GOP Doubles Down On Hurting Seniors with Representative Paul Ryan Giving State of the Union

 House Republicans selected Representative Paul Ryan (R-WI), the author of a controversial budget ‘road map’ to privatize Social Security and voucherize Medicare, to give the Republican rebuttal to the State of the Union Address.

Jesse Ferguson of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee said:

Picking Representative Paul Ryan to give the State of the Union rebuttal is a clear sign that House Republicans will move full speed ahead with plans that would have a devastating impact on seniors who are already struggling to get by. 

As if it wasn’t already clear, House Republicans are now doubling down on their disastrous plans to gamble Social Security funds on Wall Street and dismantle Medicare.

Rightardia thinks Ryan's ideas won't even be considered in the Senate. We are still waiting for the rules change in the Senate that blunts the filibuster.
