Haliburton to pay $500 million to keep Cheney out of jail

Earlier this week, Nigeria charged former Vice President Dick Cheney with doling over $180 million in bribes to government officials. A new GlobalPost report suggest that it may take more than twice that much to keep Cheney out of prison.

Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, tolds GlobalPost that Halliburton is negotiating a plea deal with Nigeria that could involve a $500 million settlement.
