The GOP thinks it has a mandate
If the GOP had a real mandate, it would have become the majority party in both the House and the Senate. Since the Democrats control the presidency and the Senate, this Republican mandate is bogus.
The GOP also worries about the 'lame duck" session of Congress. The term 'lame duck" has only ben used to describe the president after a presidential election and before the new president is inaugurated.
Nice try, but it will take more than spin to control Washington.
