Huffington Post: Boehner-- 'Not A Time For Compromise'

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), who has been avoiding the national media in recent weeks, appeared on Fox News on Wednesday.  He stated that Republicans will not compromise with Democrats if the GOP takes over Congress in 2011.

This is not a time for compromise, and I can tell you that we will not compromise on our principles.

Boehner, also said if Republicans win control of the House:

To the extent the president wants to work with us, in terms of our goals, we'd welcome his involvement.

GOP leaders are firing up their base by promising to be uncompromising with the White House.

With the Democrats in control of the presidency and likely control of the Senate, watch for more grid lock. That is the Republican way when they lose the presidency.

Fortunately for Republicans, the Democratic Party is a a bigger tent and the GOP can usually pick up about 30 or 40 Blue Dog Democrats to help the GOP with its political agenda in Washington.

Rightardia call this 'my way or the highway conservatism." We had eight years of the with President Bush. All it got the US was into an economic ditch.
